Sprucing up the traditional occasion to celebrate the festival that falls on Oct 1st this year, Purple Cane Tea Restaurant has created Mid-Autumn creations - a showcase of four nourishing families set meals prepared using fresh ingredients paired together with their specially selected teas.

The Mid-Autumn Family Sets for 4pax is priced from RM88 onwards offering diners a choice between Vegetarian or Non-Vegetarian sets. 


I recently have the pleasure of sampling the Joyous Mid-Autumn Family Set priced at RM 98 for 4 pax. The non-vegetarian set is tea-infused dishes consisting of scrumptious meat, seafood, soup and vegetable cuisines with 2 types of meat dishes paired with 1 vegetable and 1 soup dish.

As for the vegetarian set, diners will be delighted with tea-licious selection of vegan dishes comprising of mushroom, beancurd, vegetable and soup dishes. 

Black Tea Curry Lions Mane Mushroom

One of the outstanding vegetarian dish to look out for has to be the crowd's favourite of  Black Tea Curry Lions Mane Mushroom. A great dish that was good from the first bite to the last spoonfuls of the addictive curry sauce.  

It came to our table piping hot with the fragrant, rich and creamy curry broth filled to the brim with assorted vegetables such as Mane Mushroom, brinjals, long beans and cabbage among others. Truly a memorable dish which I will definitely order again!  

Long Jing Green Tea Rice
