Have you heard of BURGERLARI? Haha, the name sounds catchy, right? BURGERLARI is the latest homegrown burger joint that making the scene with their Halal Certified Burger launched recently. Located at Cheras Leisure Mall, Burgerlari aims to entice burger lovers in the Klang Valley to savour their Malaysian-inspired gourmet burgers.

I had the wonderful opportunity to be invited to Burgerlari's Raya Aidilfitri Open House cum Halal Certification Presentation by Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee, the Director of Halal Hub Division, Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) recently.

Well, now burger fans can get your fix of HALAL burgers with Hainanese Chicken Chop Burger, Chicken Rice Burger, Satay Chicken Burger, Chicken Rendang Burger, Nasi Lemak Burger and Butter Chicken Burger!

My TOP PICK of the day 'BUTTER CHICKEN BURGER' ~ Burger-licious deep fried in batter, a juicy and thick chicken patty drenched in sweet-savoury butter sauce sandwiched between the soft charcoal bun!

From the grilled chicken burger menu, my favourite has to be the Chicken Rice Burger. The texture of chicken fillet was tender, lightly grilled to perfection with a slight char on the outside while still moist and juicy on the inside. Another plus point was they got the sauce right for the burger with the housemade ginger, garlic and chilli sauce to go with the awesome burger!

According to Ms Justine Leong, “Ingredients used is of premium quality. Only the best chicken parts are used to make the burger patty. Vegetables are fresh and the sauces used is the best. Burgerlari is a taste of Malaysia which is served in the shape of fast food. It’s delicious, with no additive or filler in the chicken patty. We at Burgerlari are enjoying the burgers every day.”

Ulam Raja Gelato, Anyone?

Oh yes, we were also treated to some yummy gelato apart from the burgers. This could be the FIRST OF ITS KIND in Malaysia - Ulam Raja Gelato (King's Salad Gelato). We loved it to the last drop as the taste is unique, mild flavour with the herbs and definitely not at all sinful when you are eating this medicinal herb which well-known for its health benefits.   

I'm not sure when this one of its kind gelatos will be debuting in Burgerlari as it's not in their menu yet. Keep your fingers crossed and stay tuned to the updates. But remember you just got to try it!
