Southwark Cathedral is an Anglican Cathedral on the south bank of the River Thames
I was told that Southwark Cathedral is the oldest gothic church in London, dating from around 1220 with a history that goes back to the twelfth century where Christians worship for more than 1,000 years ago. ⛪⛪⛪.
According to the Doomsday Book, a place of worship has stood on this site at the southern end of London Bridge since the time of William the Conqueror!
The Shard London or Shard of Glass lies behind the cathedral, is the tallest building in the UK measuring 309.6 metres high at 95 storey supertall skyscraper in Southwark, London.
Adjacent to Borough Market and being just across the road from London Bridge station, it is really easy to get to. Free entrance, £1 fee if you want to take pictures. For more information, you can log to the WEBSITE cathedral.southwark.anglican.org
