Hi guys! Auntie Lilly is back again with another mouth-watering recipe of Sesame Peri-Peri Chicken Wings - made with passion and love just for you to try out for your family. Recently I was invited to a 'Meet & Greet' Bloggers cooking session jointly hosted by Chefology and McCormick at The Cooking House.

At a twist of the bottle, I can have freshly ground black pepper and sea salt in my cooking. No fuss, no need to grind your own pepper and no worry of the peppers losing its flavour and smell.

For this first recipe post of mine, I have decided to cook up my family's kind of meat - the CHICKEN WINGS! It's a totally easy-to-prepare dish with just marination and pop them in the oven or even better pan-fry them in the non-stick Chefology fry-pan to cut short your cooking time.
For this recipe, I have included McCormick Herbs & Spices - BBQ Sauce, Black Pepper, Sea Salt and Chilli Ground. These seasonings do come very handy in any cooking for marination or sprinkle to elevate almost any simple and easy-to-cook meal to greater heights. Certainly, the perfect companion one can have in the kitchen.
The end result is the perfect flavour of well-marinated juicy chicken wings, so tangy and smoky with the McCormick Vintage Smokehouse BBQ Sauce. This dish is best eaten with warm white rice or salad. I'm sure your family will love you for this home-cooked dish that will please all chicken wings lovers!

Sesame Peri-Peri Chicken
Treat yourself and family to this classic Portuguese-inspired Chicken Wings Recipe
INGREDIENTS
16 medium size chicken wings (around 1.3kg)
1 tablespoon Olive oil (Pan-frying)
INGREDIENTS FOR MARINATION
- 120 ml Sesame Oil
- 80 ml McCormick Grill Mates Vintage Smokehouse BBQ Sauce
- ½ teaspoon McCormick Chilli Ground (or to taste)
- 2 teaspoons Freshly Ground McCormick Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground McCormick Black Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Garlic Chilli Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Minced Garlic
MARINATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Make the marinade by stirring all the ingredients together until combined.
- Add more or less chilli powder, depending on how spicy you want your peri-peri to be.
- Generously coat the chicken wings all over with the peri-peri marinade
- Leave for at least four hours, though overnight is best.
GRILLING IN OVEN
- When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 210C.
- Use a roasting tray with a rack, and place the chicken wings
- Bake for 20 minutes, then carefully take out the tray.
- Turn the wings to the other side and return the tray to the oven for another 10 minutes.
- Served immediately while hot with salad or rice.
PAN-FRY
- Heat up oil in a Chefology Nature Series Frying Pan.
- Pan-fry the chicken wings on both sides for a few minutes till well-cooked on the medium or low heat.
- Served immediately while hot with salad or rice.

McCormick Grill Mates Vintage Smokehouse BBQ Sauce
Sesame Oil
Garlic Chilli Sauce
Freshly Ground McCormick Sea Salt
Freshly Ground McCormick Black Pepper
McCormick Chilli Ground
Minced Garlic
Make the marinade by stirring all the ingredients together until combined
Generously coat the chicken wings all over with the peri-peri marinade
Important to coat each piece of chicken wings evenly to enable the marinade to add flavour
Leave for at least four hours, though overnight is best
Let the marinade soak thru into the meat for a flavourful dish

When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 210C

Cooking with Chefology Nature Series was a great experience. This is one of my most wanted kind of cookware - strong, sturdy with highly durable scratch resistant marble ceramic coating. Now, I need not worry my pans getting scratches, coating chips off or whether is safe to use anymore. Someone once told me that foods prepared in a nonstick cookware will not brown well due to the nonstick properties that prevent food from sticking to the surface - means foods won't be able to adhere to a surface thus forming the browned bits that make up a golden crust.
Well, I beg to differ here - you see, my Chefology Nature Series 24cm Fry Pan does wonders when it comes to light pan-frying with little oil and the chicken wings browned with charred bits. After pan-frying, there's no residue in the oil nor sticky coating sticking to my pan.
