If you've ever been in Solaris Dutamas, Publika, in the evening, you might have witnessed this daily metamorphosis - as the sun goes down, this upscale neighbourhood shopping mall is always busy and happening with countless F&B venues to chill and dine.
One of the new players to the F&B scene is a newly opened The Eighth Avenue Bar & Resto, which opened its doors to customers more than a year ago in September 2015, thus making its mark on the map as a trendy chill-out restaurant bar. Located in the affluent neighbourhood of Sri Hartamas, this place is fast making its name in becoming a popular and thriving casual drinking spot for many city slickers.

The Eighth Avenue Bar & Resto is, after all, the brainchild of charismatic Australian businessman-turned-restaurateur ~ Raj Takkar who is a passionate and highly motivated restaurant owner I have ever met before in my life.

The restaurant predominantly offers only Western cuisine with an array of pasta, pizzas, burgers, soups and salads with steaks and pork ribs to choose from. Indulge in the exquisite flavours of the Australian-European classics, specially crafted with a twist of authentic creations and a fusion mix.

The Eighth Avenue Bar & Resto is also a swanky place for drinks with a long list of jovial beverages such as premium whisky, wines, beer, mocktails, cocktails or even a martini to get you boozy. Must-Try If You're A Serious Pork Lovers
Dig into their porky menu featuring their juicy signature Braised Pork Cheeks and you are in for pork-tastic treats. Featuring one of the most prized and tender parts of the pig, these succulents braised pork cheeks are prepared in red wine served with truffle potato mash for the extra flavour!
Lychee Pork Poppers

Moving on to some real treats of Lychee Pork Poppers, this is another mouth-watering dish for sharing. Great-tasting fruity and sweet lychees stuffed with minced pork are coated with breadcrumbs and deep-fried to golden brown to a perfect crisp upon the first bite.
Careful as the juices come popping out with sweet of the juice of the lychee with tender flavourful still warm minced pork within. Watch your diet as these are extremely addictive poppers that you just cannot stop eating!
Taco Bout It

Pork-lovers will find the Taco Bout It featuring minced pork, olives, capsicum, red onions, cheese, homemade guacamole and sour cream served in crunchy Corn Taco shells, a juicy mouthful. This particular wrap is made richer with some mild but rich homemade guacamole served alongside with refreshing mixed greens.

The Sticky Piggy also hit the spot - Pork ribs first stewed till fork-tender and grilled to perfection with caramelised apple and sticky sauce for the extra kick. A good serving portion great for sharing.

They also have Mini Pork Sliders, a dainty starter of homemade pork patties with caramelised onions, mushroom and cocktail sauce.

Honey Glazed BBQ Pork Ribs

The Honey Glazed BBQ Pork Ribs is the special house ribs with a rather sweetish flavour to it. Perfectly braised BBQ Pork Ribs with honey and BBQ sauce served with sides of jacket potato, onion rings and garden salad.
Beer Marinated Pork Ribs

The food here certainly checked the box for guilty pleasures. These selections of baby back pork ribs will definitely give you spin for your money. The succulent pork ribs were marinated for 8 hours in a concoction of beer, herbs and spices and finished with a demi-glace, flame-licked to perfection bringing out the best in the ribs. Served with jacket potato, onion rings and garden salad.
Finger-licking good and not only was the meat tender, it literally fell off the bone!
Karate Piggy Chop

Next more porky-licious dishes to share ~ Karate Piggy Chop is another grilled pork chop on the bone with fresh herbs rubbed in for added flavour.
A chunky piece of pork on the leaner side, you may find a little too tough to chew and the other was still soft with the crispy top-loaded with herbs.
