'HARVEST JOY UNDER THE MOON'
MID-AUTUMN CELEBRATION
Happy Hong Family Of Bloggers
Mid-Autumn is the time where family gather and reunite to celebrate when the moon is at its fullest. To the Chinese, a full moon symbolises happiness and prosperity. For the uninitiated, this celebration may seem to only revolve around beautiful lanterns and mooncake. But, in real, it is more than just that as the Mid-Autumn celebrations were originally a harvest festival to worship the Moon.
Enchanting Celebration Under The Moon
Beautiful Lovers' Bridge
The Lovers' Bridge, which resembles the love story and sympathetic to sacrifices of Chang'E to Hou Yi back in the ancient years. Beautifully lit with LED lights, this bridge was carefully designed to fit the Mid-Autumn celebrations theme.
Garden by The Creek and Mystical Forest
Lantern Bedecked Gardens of The ARC, Bandar Rimbayu
Absolutely love the view and the decorated garden with lights! This place is perfect for a stroll with the family after dinner while enjoying the cooling breeze. The mystical ambience and multi-coloured lanterns were the key features of this set-up. The forest was filled with lush greeneries as far as the eye can see.
Picturesque Scenery At The ARC Bandar Rimbayu
Guests were treated to a feast of local delicacies along with a complimentary selection of dainty gourmet mooncakes and fresh pomelos while being serenaded by a Chinese orchestra that played a selection of contemporary tunes. Children were also able to partake in the activities with a special Mini Barbecue area where they were able to enjoy tasty grilled treats.

Food Stalls
There were many food stalls to feed the growling tummies! Residents and guests were treating to local favourites such as fried kuey teow, nasi tomato with ayam masak merah, satay, popiah, mooncakes, Malay kuih-muih and much more to whet everyone's appetite.
One Of The Stall - Nasi Tomato With Ayam Masak Merah
My favourite stall has to be the nasi tomato with ayam masak merah. The food was delicious and I have second helpings to the flavourful and spicy chicken dish.
Colourful Garden of The ARC, Bandar Rimbayu
The night view was even more enchanting and magical. After the mini feast, we took a stroll down to the creek. My family and I spent our time posing for pictures as the garden looked amazing having transformed into a mystical fairy tale forest with the brightly lighted colourful lights together with the cute giant lanterns too.
Mandatory Pose At The Lovers' Bridge
The night view was astounding and children were enjoying themselves with paper lanterns and sparklers around the park. There were a few competitions held such as a pomelo peeling contest and treasure hunt. These are great bonding opportunities and perfect ways for parents to spend some time with their children.
Giant Animal Lanterns
There were a few giant lanterns in the shape of panda, rabbit and tortoise for photo opportunities. The children especially the younger ones were pretty excited once these giant adorable-looking were lighted up simultaneously and the whole garden was so bright and pretty!
My favourite was, of course, the giant panda lantern as it matches my outfit of the day!
Uncle Hong, my hubby and I find the panda lantern the cutest and decided not to miss out on taking a few pictures with it.
More Enchanting Landscape
Guests were also able to take a leisurely stroll along a series of intricately landscaped, moonlit paths. Apart from that, the guests enjoyed the sightseeing of beautiful Garden by the Creek and the Mystical Forest. Roiling coils of smoke, giant lanterns in all shapes and sizes gently swaying in the wind and strings of beautiful lights bedecked the trees and landscape, offering a host of exciting photo opportunities for friends and loved ones alike.
Attractive-Looking Butterfly Lantern
My daughter, Clarrisha fell in love with this dazzling beautiful butterfly lantern at the garden and we both spent quite awhile snapping our camera and doing selfies with our handphones that night.
