Pim's Thai Food
Pimlicious Seafood Cafe & Restaurant
The phrase GOOD FOOD = GOOD MOOD is the perfect 2 words to describe this lovely brand new Thai establishment in Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang. Going the distance can be an adventure if you know that a gastronomic experience awaits at the end of the road. The 45-minutes drive from my home to the Pim's Thai Food in Bukit Tinggi 2, Klang was pleasant, given that it was a public holiday and traffic was smooth.
Eye-Catching Signages
We were greeted with some eye-catching signages upon entering the restaurant. Modern and stylish in decor, Pim's Thai Food resembles more a coffee joint rather than the typical Thai cuisine restaurant. It looks like a trendy coffee place from the outside but once you step in, you are greeted with warm smiles and a beautifully designed space where you can spend hours eating and chatting with your family.
Alfresco-style Dining Area
Pim's Thai Food is a nice addition in the neighbourhood offering an amazing new style venue for authentic Thai cuisine in Bukit Tinggi, Klang. Choose to dine indoor in the comfortable and contemporary dining or be seated alfresco-style dining area on the outside.
We were pretty excited about their new menu and come follow me to a gastronomical tasting experience at Pim's Thai Food. Feasting with your eyes starts now!
SIGNATURE SEAFOOD POT
Pim's Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot
Pim's Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot
3-5 pax For RM 158
Our feast began with an embodiment of the intensity in Thai cuisine, Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot, with its sourish acidity and spicy heat coming from the chilli paste, made from scratch and accented sweetly by the fragrant lemongrass.
Serving the best of both worlds, Pim Thai Food captures the essence of Thai cuisine with their signature seafood food of Pim's Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot. A plethora of ocean fresh seafood cooked in a milky yet spicy Tom Yam broth with slurpy Maggi noodles, just like how it's served in Thailand.
Ocean Fresh Pot Of Goodness
Pim's Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot consists of Crayfish, Tiger Prawns, Prawns, Hokkaido Squid, Onsen Duck Eggs, Mushrooms, Fishballs, Scallops, Thai Instant Noodles topped with two fresh egg and Pim's Tom Yum Kung. The Thais loves their Mama brand instant noodles as much as how the Malaysian loves our Maggi mee noodles. So Pim's Thai Food choose to use our all-time-favourite Maggi Noodles as the base for the dish.
Pim's Super Seafood Tom Yum Pot
1-3 pax For RM 98
Diners have the option to choose their serving portion for this dish. RM 158 serves around 3 to 5 pax while RM 98 is good enough for sharing between 1 to 3 pax. The seafood and the rest of the ingredients double up in the portion of the bigger pot.
Well, this is a Must-Try dish when dining in Pim's Thai Food. We loved it to bits, the seafood was super fresh and of premium quality. Apart from that, there are FREE Tom Yum soup refills at no charge, so you can drink up the tasty soup to your heart's content.
Bouncy Fish Balls
Oh yes, remember to savour the special fish balls. Each bite brings about a lively and bouncy texture. Firm and springy with its sweetness derived purely from the fish itself, you can taste not much starches were added, hence the fish balls are equivalent to a mouthful of fish meat. The fish balls are sourced from a reliable and famous fish ball factory and sold in limited quantity on a daily basis.
RM 22.50
Another recommended dish was the Pa Meng Pad Kai Kem ~ Stir Fried Sotong In Salted Eggs. The salted eggs sauce is a thick and aromatic gravy full of salted egg yolk paste, reminiscent of the masak lemak but with Thai influences and slathered onto the thick chunky and succulent white squids. The dish goes wonderfully with warm white rice too.
Tod Man Gong ~ Signature Fried Donut Prawns
RM 18.90
For seafood snacks, the Tod Man Gong ~ Signature Fried Donut Prawns was an excellent choice to try. A mixed of prawn and fish paste mildly seasoned and coated with dry breadcrumbs to be deep-fried to golden brown wonder. I like the sweet tasting firm texture that is sure to please seafood lovers and don't forget to ask for some Thai Chilli sauce to go with it.
Gong Ga Bang ~ Thai Prawns Pancake
RM 18.90
RM 18.90
Pancake lovers will fall in love with the Gong Ga Bang ~ Thai Prawns Pancake. The crunchy bites of thin crispy tasty layer pancake filled with the mixed paste of prawn and fish. Crunch with the slightest touch of your teeth, you will enjoy the crisp outer skin that encapsulates the delicious paste. Eat it fast while it's still hot, fresh from the frying stove.
Next, Moo Kob ~ Chef's Thai Roasted Pork is the Thai version of deep-fried pork belly. Just an average dish. Oh well, seriously this cannot be compared with our famous Chinese Roasted Pork aka delicious Siew Yok. It's a bit dry and lack of the juiciness, unlike our Siew Yok.
RM 39
Crustacean dish of Kang Tod Ka Tiam ~ Deep Fried Crayfish With Garlic. Never really a fan of crayfish as they have more shell than meat, with only a small portion of the body of a crayfish is edible. Well, somehow the dish got in the Pim's menu because it's one of the owner's favourite dish to go with a glass of icy cold beers.
Kung Lai Ser ~ Tiger Prawns Pad Thai Noodles
RM 26.90
For noodles, of course, diners must try their famous Pad Thai Noodles. Take your pick from their original plain version or the Kung Lai Ser, enhanced with the juicy and big Tiger Prawns for your liking.
Pad Thai Noodles
Try this authentic version of the classic Thai street food, commonly served at casual eateries in Thailand. A simple stir-fried rice noodle dishes with lots of vegetables such as onion, chives, bean sprout cooked together chicken strips and tofu.
Desserts Jelly in Coconut
RM 7.90
No Thai meal is complete without desserts to soothe the spicy heat from the meal. Moving away from the conventional red ruby dessert of Thab Thim Krob, I ordered a very interesting Desserts Jelly in Coconut instead.
After serving of the fiery dishes, the dessert - Desserts Jelly in Coconut is the best choice to end your meal at Pim's Thai Food. The jelly was smooth and mildly sweet with a very natural flavour of the coconut water. With this dessert, you get to savour both the jelly and coconut flesh at the same time. A perfect refreshing pick-me-up on a hot day.
