A Taste of Heritage:
No Name Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice
Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice, also known as the "No Name Hainanese Curry Rice," has been drawing in foodies from all over Singapore with its scrumptious cai fan-style dishes. The stall has been around since 1988, with over 34 years of experience selling Hainanese curry rice. The stall is located just a short 10-minute walk away from Tiong Bahru MRT station, nestled within a coffee shop next to Beo Crescent Food Centre.

While Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice offers a range of dishes such as crispy pork, curry squid, stir-fried cabbage, and Lor Bak, it's their namesake dish that has earned them a spot on the map. A plate of their Hainanese curry rice will only set you back between S$5 to S$6, making it a fantastic option for a hearty and affordable comfort meal.
One of the things that set Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice apart is that each serving comes with three different sauces. You can choose from Lor Bak sauce, Chap Chye gravy, and their signature Ayam Curry.
Crowd Favourite: Crispy Pork
Be sure to try the most popular side dish, Crispy Pork, which steals the show with its fatty cuts marinated overnight, coated in batter, and double-fried to a deep brown and extra crispy perfection.
Braised Pork
And while every dish here is undoubtedly tasty, the tender Braised Pork served drenched in a dark sauce, is a must-try. It's a delightful combination of salty, sweet, and herbaceous flavours that come together to create a symphony of flavours in your mouth.
Curry Squid
Lor Bak Egg
But if you were to ask me to choose, I would have to give my vote to Loo's Hainanese Curry Rice. While Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice is undeniably delicious, Loo's version has that extra "oomph" for me when it comes to the mix of gravies on the rice with the sinfully tasty Crispy Pork Chop. But make no mistake; Beo Crescent Hainanese Curry Rice is still a must-visit for anyone looking to sample some of Singapore's best comfort food.
