Hi Everyone! Happy Cooking for Auntie Lilly again. Auntie is excited to share one of my personal favourites mixed vegetable dish ~ CHAU LUP-LUP or MIXED VEGETABLES Recipe with all the foodie fans out there.
You may wonder why called 'Chau Lup-Lup? It's because every single ingredient is cut into small cubes and in Cantonese is called 'Lup-Lup' means small cubes in size or portion while 'Chau' practically means to fry in Cantonese. Read more for Full Recipe!
Time Honoured Family Recipe
Anyone tried this "Lup-Lup" dish before? An easy to cook dish as this is an all-in-one colourful, healthy and delicious mixed vegetable dish where you just pan-fry all the ingredients and mixed them together; seasoned well with sauces and voila, it's ready to be served... Simple as that!
Time Honoured Family Recipe ~ This comforting dish is my family heritage recipe and cooked by my late mom and my hubby's grandma all the time. My hubby's Popo may not be around anymore but her recipe lives on with us and now her granddaughter-in-law is cooking it for her great-grandchildren to savour. So I'm leaving this recipe on the blog for my daughters and son to cook too!

Simple Mixed Vegetable Ingredients |
Ingredients For CHAU LUP-LUP Dish
✔️ Long Bean✔️ Carrots✔️ Choy Po Preserved Turnip✔️ Chillies Padi or Fresh Chillies (Optional if u wan Spicy)✔️ Hard Tofu✔️ Dried Prawns✔️ Fresh Prawns✔️ Roast Pork or Any Meat Of Your Choice✔️ Peanuts✔️ Garlic
Direction How To Cook
Cut all into cube size & first pan-fry to brown the Tofu cubes & remove from wokNext, pan-fry the long beans + carrots lightly with oil & remove from wokNow, fry Roasted Pork & Prawns till fragrantNext, add more oil to brown the Minced Garlic & Add-In Fresh PrawnsFollowed by Chopped Dried Shrimp & Choy PoGive it a good fry for Wok Hei before adding in cooked Long Beans + Carrots with the rest of the ingredients.Add Peanuts & Chillies Padi last. Mix Well.Season with Light Soya Sauce, Dark Soya Sauce, Sugar & lastly some Salt to taste (Optional)

Add The Vegetables & Mix Well Mix Well & Fry Under High Heat In The Wok |
Fry To Mix The Hard Tofu
Season Well With Light Soya Sauce, Dark Soya Sauce, Sugar Adding In Seasoning Sauces |
The Trick To This Dish - Is Keep Frying In The Wok
The dish is savoury and salty with the addition of Dried Shrimp and Choy Po which adds up the saltiness to this yummy dish. Skip the salt, if don't want it too salty.

Points to note: The trick to this good dish is lots of frying in high heat for the Wok Hei especially when we pan fry the ingredients separately. Try it out and so enjoy ya!
