This spacious corner shop in KL has been serving deliciousness for over 50 years. It’s now run by a passionate father-and-son duo. The air-conditioned seating makes it a comfy spot for family gatherings or just a good, satisfying meal with friends.
And now… let’s talk about the food!
Creamy Butter Loh Shi Fun
RM 19
You can’t dine here without ordering their famous signature dish – and after tasting it for the first time, I totally understand the hype. Instead of the usual yellow, gloopy mess, this version was light, smooth, and slightly spicy, with a beautiful orange hue from the curry powder.
Packed with bits of shrimp, squid, and the umami punch of crispy dried shrimp (har mai), it’s rich yet not overwhelming. I couldn’t stop scooping spoonfuls of this addictive noodle dish – it’s definitely going into my favourites list!
King Spare Ribs With Rice (Pai Kuat Wong)
RM 18
WOW. Possibly one of the best I've had in KL! These fall-off-the-bone ribs were succulent, sweet, tangy, and elevated by that deep, rich Worcestershire sauce flavour. A classic done exceptionally well – I was hooked from the first bite.
Hainan Braised Noodles (Hoi Nam Meen)
RM 18
A rare gem nowadays! Though slightly on the sour side (maybe we were too generous with the calamansi , it came loaded with assorted seafood and topped with fluffy omelette strips. A comforting dish with old-school vibes!

From the warm service to the soul-satisfying dishes, Song Lim is a hidden treasure worth revisiting. Don’t forget to try their signature Loh Shi Fun – you’ll thank me later!
