I was told that KopiTime Brand of Cafes was among the first pioneers, setting up its first humble outlet in Atria more than 15 years ago since 2004, bringing the Malaysian community together in one place to enjoy true Malaysian street food.

Since then, KopiTime has since expanded into a total of 3 outlets. The original Atria outlet, which still serves the all-time favourite Nasi Lemak; Subang Parade outlet, which is the first Kopi Time flagship concept cafe and the 1Utama Bowl Kopi Time Express outlet which caters to take-aways.

KopiTime Four Heavenly Kings

There's always something so quintessential about nasi lemak for Malaysian. This amazing national dish is probably the most wanted food for any Malaysian living abroad. Touted to be the perfect dish for any occasion, people from all walks of life just loved to have this delicious, hearty and most of all, comforting dish at any time of the day; be it for breakfast, lunch, tea break, dinner and even supper!

And here at KopiTime, they are big on serving not one but five variations of KT Nasi Lemak with a twist!

Ayam Goreng Volcano Nasi Lemak
(With Rose Sirap Drink)

Ayam Goreng Volcano Nasi Lemak is their latest offering from KopiTime, a timely new dish offered for the month of Ramadan in May 2019. This dish is a version 2.0 of their all-time-favourite Giant Ayam Goreng Nasi Lemak.

What sets this special nasi lemak dish apart from the rest? Well, one thing for sure, the 'Ayam Goreng' ~ Deep Fried Chicken is marinated with super spicy rare Mexican Chiltepin Peppers powder for the extra spiciness.

With a spicy rating ~ Scoville scale reading at SHU 80K Spicy Scale, this Ayam Goreng Volcano Nasi Lemak dish definitely lives up to its name. After my first bite, my senses were literally like fireworks exploding in my mouth. 🔥🔥🔥

Dare To Take The Challenge Of SHU 80K Spicy Scale

Well-marinated with fresh herbs and spices including the Mexican Chiltepin Peppers, the tender and juicy whole leg of crispy chicken is fried upon order, sprinkle with another dose of the spicy powder for the complete act.

Served with fragrant coconut milk rice flavoured with pure pandan juice and regular toppings of peanuts, fried anchovies, hard boiled egg, cucumber and fragrant red sambal sauce.

The Ayam Goreng Volcano Nasi Lemak is definitely the ultimate Nasi Lemak, one must try especially for those who are crazy about spicy hot food. The Ayam Goreng Volcano Nasi Lemak Set is priced at RM 13.80+ now and comes with Rose Sirap, Hot Green Tea or Hot Chinese Tea drink with every purchase.

As this is limited edition item in their menu offering, you should gather up with family and friends to check out the dish and challenge their tastebuds to one of the spiciest Nasi Lemak in town this Ramadan!

Next, if the super spicy Ayam Goreng Volcano Nasi Lemak dish doesn't appeal to you, you can indulge in their Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng, Kopitime's best-selling food item in their menu!

Ayam Goreng Giant

Comprising of a whole chicken thigh weighing not less than 300 grams, it's marinated with 8 different kinds of fresh herbs and spices and freshly fried to crisp golden perfection. The giant chicken thigh still remains crispy when I bite into it even after my photo session.

The green rice gets its colour from fresh pandan juices and not artificial colourings are fragrant with creamy coconut milk, coconut oil and provide a great balance to the flavourful chicken and spicy sambal too.

Nasi Lemak Salted Egg Chicken
RM 13.80+

Next, another winner in its own right is the Nasi Lemak Salted Egg Chicken! The latest addition to the Nasi Lemak offerings, it features chicken meat freshly deep-fried together with salted egg yolk minced, whole curry leaves and green cili padi till crispy golden brown.

KT Nasi Lemak With A Twist With Salted Egg Chicken

This is my personal favourite and I enjoyed the salted egg yolk chicken which was really good. This dish has gotten me this smitten that I have already made a mental note to return and order this next time. Thumbs up to this savoury salty dish!

Kampung Fried Rice
RM 10.90+

Besides nasi lemak, you can also try their fried rice and noodles dishes.  You know the saying the goes something like this, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”? Well, the Kampung Fried Rice looks like the most ordinary fried rice, something you can get anywhere.

It looks so simply done, almost effortless, but yes, it's really delicious and full of Wok-Hei. It was one that I could gobble down one plate, and another and another. Yes, it is that good.

Fried Kuey Tiow
RM 10.90+

Last but not least, there's also a popular noodles dish to try in KopiTime ~  Fried Kuey Tiow. Freshly fried upon order at the kitchen, you can taste fragrant of the smooth and silky Kuey Tiow fried with prawns, bean sprouts,  chives and fish cakes.

For special and unique drinks to go with your meals, Kopitiam has just launched Malaysia's FIRST PEANUT KOPI!

This interesting coffee drink was created with real peanuts, resulting in a creamy nutty taste, blended with a rich and smooth coffee mouthfeel at the end of your tastebuds.

Cold Peanut Kopi

We have both versions - the cold and hot and I take delight in the warm cup of peanut kopi as its bring out the natural 'harum' kopi flavour and creamy taste of the peanut butter. Enjoy Malaysia’s First Peanut Kopi now, available in hot at just RM4.50 and iced at RM5.50!
While I really enjoyed some of the food, there were others that were just okay. Even so, I would drop by to eat the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng and Nasi Lemak Salted Egg Chicken for a total nasi lemak-licious indulgence in KopiTime again!
