The steamboat restaurant synonymous with famous pork bone broth is COCO Steamboat that been around for more than 10 years, established in 2005. With 3 outlets located at Cheras Taynton, Old Klang Road, and Cheras Batu 11 serving their regular patrons and ever-growing fans of their mouth-watering pork bone broth that never fails to tantalize the diners taste buds!
This is my first time dining in this outlet at Cheras Batu 11 with my foodie steamboat-loving family. The restaurant dining concept offers diners a comfortable and clean dining experience with air-conditioning and non-conditing seating area. There's also ample free parking space at the front and side of the restaurant.
Spacious & Cosy Environment
Seating capacity can easily accommodate up to 900 pax in a spacious and cosy environment but things can get hectic if you choose to dine at their peak hours especially on weekends. Go early at 5:30pm or 6pm to avoid the crowd if you can. Believe it or not, they have served a full-fledged steamboat dinner for special wedding banquet as a request from customers before.
COCO Steamboat Famous Pork Bone Broth
Steamboat restaurants would normally serve diners clear chicken or Tom yum broth. But COCO 's signature steamboat stand apart as it is known for its originality in serving a broth base made from quality pork bones. After discovering the wonders of Collagen Broth, the owners decided to expand their menu to include the broth.
COCO's collagen-rich broth base is made from fresh pork bones and the restaurant's secret blend of ingredients cooked for more than four hours in fresh pork stock. Collagen is said to have brightening, firming, moisturising, and also anti-ageing effects on the skin. Prior to serving, the broth is further cooked with Chinese cabbage, fried bean curd, yam, and white radish which I believed add depth of flavour to the broth. The evaporated milk is added to give a sweeter taste and creamier texture.

COCO Steamboat offers an attractive list of appetisers food menu for diners to snack on apart from their steamboat food items. Choice picks have to be their fragrant and juicy 'Nam Yee' Signature Chicken Wings and the addictive crispy Fried Bean Curd Skin Rolls, each bite consists of the plump bouncy shrimp inside.

Well, overall COCO Steamboat has made a name for itself for its fresh, good quality ingredients and no added preservatives. One of their specialities was the homemade meatballs that are prepared in the central kitchen and distribute to the branches to ensure standard quality. There are three types of broths to choose from which includes COCO's Double Stewed Soup (Pork Bone Broth), nourishing Fish Head Clear Broth and healthy Tomato Broth.
