Thailand is a country of ancient traditions, tranquil temples and friendly smiles. It is also a land where spicy soups, green curries, and delectable desserts. From 16 - 29th May 2016, Putrajaya Marriot Hotel will be serving authentic Thai cuisine at its Zest Lifestyle Restaurant.

To ensure the food authenticity, the hotel has invited Guest Chef Seeri Phokeaw from the Palm Garden Hotel to join forces alongside Putrajaya Marriot Hotel Chef Teena Thavongot to craft out authentic dishes based on original Thai recipe. A tack team with years of experience, smiles on as they bring along authentic Thai recipes, tricks of the trade and witty ensemble for the 2 running weeks. 

Putrajaya Marriot Hotel invited Thailand Ambassador to Malaysia, His Excellency Damrong Kraikruan to launched and graced this Amazing Thailand Festival

To add excitement to the evening, the hotel engaged traditional Thai dancers to perform the 'Welcome Finger Nail Dance (Ram Pama Pam Kwan) and the Village Festival Dance (Rabunm Thead Theurng) at the launch. the dancers with their graceful movements, brilliant color, soft rhythm, and radiating presence added glitter to the entire evening.

A dessert used to be available & served only in the Thai Royal Palace

They look like various kinds of fruit and vegetables such as chillies, cherries, mangosteens, oranges, mangoes, bananas, watermelons, and carrots but they are in miniature. Their taste is sweet, their smell is fragrant, and their appearance is attractive and colourful. 

In the old days, Luk Chup were the sweetmeats made for the king of Siam to have after meals in the palace.
