My visit to this 'Porky Restaurant' as it's name 'Juro' was derived from the Chinese phrase meaning 'pork'. I was actually getting very hungry, thirsty and tired after having to go thru the traffic congestion to reach my place of destination. But, it seems that it was worth the effort as I had a very pleasant dining experience at this restaurant.
The owner, Mr.Terry Lim takes great pride in his Western cuisine which specializes in pork dishes made of premium pork meat. They offer a wide selection of mouthwatering menu of fresh sausages, ham steaks, beef steaks, lamb chops, chicken chops, grilled seafood, pasta, burger and many more.
It's certainly a wonderful place to dine for family and friends with great food & good service too. Price is pretty decent, no worries as it won't burn a hole in your pocket with this porky-licious restaurant.
For starter, I found this bacon salad simply appetizing. Loves the taste of bits & pieces of crispy bacon as I munch thru the fresh vegetables drizzled with mayonnaise sauce. One have to savour this salad slowly in order to enjoy it to the fullest.
Cream of Ham & Bacon
The starters also include two types of soup. I decided to try out the Cream of Ham & Bacon as this is suppose to be a all pork affair for me. Well, as it's cooked with ham and bacon to infuse a rich porky flavour to this creamy soup, I bet this is a sure winner with kids and goes well with garlic bread or light toast. I think this is simply a tasty comfort food to eat when you're feeling sad or blue.
SucculentTexas BBQ Baby Back Ribs
I have high expectation of this special dish as it is one of their signature dish besides the German Pork Knuckle. Having said that as I had tasted some of the best ribs in town, I was truly looking forward to this meaty dish.
This dish certainly looks good and smells good too. The finest, tender and lean Baby Back Ribs are richly seasoned with selected spices plus marinated with house special BBQ sauce & slow grilled to mouthwatering perfection. As I sink my teeth into the pork ribs which was so tender, juicy & full of flavour & extremely flavourful with the BBQ sauce. This awesome ribs really whet one's appetite and makes me desire for more. I guess this the beginning of my love affair with Juro's Texas BBQ Baby Back Ribs !
Classic Spaghetti Aglio Olio E Pepperoncino
Spaghetti Aglio Olio E Pepperoncino is a traditional Italian pasta dish. It's well loved by many because it's so easy and inexpensive to make. This spaghetti with garlic, oil and chilli is definitely the easiest recipe of Italian cuisine but at the same time, in order to be really good to be prepared for good. Without a doubt, the predominant flavour is that of chilli that fits perfectly with the garlic and olive oil.
I found Juro's one to be really good and detectable, having just the right amount of herbs & spices to bring about this zesty favour in the pasta. Two thumbs up for this dish!
Tasty Spaghetti Carbonara with Ham & Streaky Bacon
This is a really Creamy pasta carbonara cooked with ham topped with Smoked Streaky Bacon. The pasta with ham flavoured with bacon – it's fantastic in dishes like Spaghetti alla Carbonara. Cheese well coat each strand of pasta, it had the right balance with the smoky saltiness of streaky bacon to satisfy any pasta or ham addicts !
My hubby and I really had an enjoyable & pleasant time dining at Juro Restaurant with good food, great company & service with courtesy of Mr Terry Lim, the owner of the restaurant.
Espresso time @ Juro makes my day !
Had an Espresso to end my gastronomical adventure @Juro's. It was almost the perfect espresso, delicious and exotic, having a golden coloured layer of foam called “crema”. Crema looks a little like honey coloured beaten egg white, but is in fact a product of the oil in the beans. The most delicate of the aromatic flavours are captured in the crema for just a moment, savoured at once and then remembered in the sweet lingering after taste :-)
