Delicious Dim Sum Date @ Restoran Tin Sum in OUG Old Klang Road by FollowMeToEatLa

These are my 6 personal favourites and 'must have' dim sum that I can't miss every time I'm at Tin Sum, one of my favourite haunts for cheap & tasty little morsels to satisfy my taste buds!

Bouncy Yee Mai - Eastern Crabs Restaurant in Ampang Klang Valley
  Bouncy Yee Mai

The common Dim Sum most people order is the Yee Mai, Har Kao and Siew Mai. So obviously, the standard ones are a must. This yee mai served here had the bouncy texture, and it definitely tastes delectable.

This Steamed Fish Ball (Yee Mai) was pretty fresh and nice. The fish used is very fresh and you will love the taste. Price is reasonable at RM3 per plate.

Succulent Har Kao - Eastern Crabs Restaurant in Ampang Klang Valley
   Succulent Har Kao

A delicate steamed dumpling with whole or chopped-up shrimp filling and thin wheat starch skin. They are made of ingredients wrapped in a translucent rice-flour or wheat-flour skin. Though common, steamed rice-flour skins are quite difficult to make.

The Har Kao was made from 1-2 fresh prawns and seasoned to perfection with some cornstarch fillers to bind and to give body to the texture. The skin was thin enough to melt in the mouth and without breaking and spilling out the contents when picked up by the chopsticks. I would recommend you to try it out if you like prawns a lot.

Green Chillies Dim Sum - Eastern Crabs Restaurant in Ampang Klang Valley
Green Chillies Dim Sum

This is particularly one creative Dim Sum which got my attention the first time I had it, and I sort of ordered it ever since then on my every visit. It's minced pork mixed with chopped bits of fresh green chillies. Something original & unusual, not spicy at all but a tint of zesty flavour of green chillies !

Salted Eggs Yolk Custard Buns - Eastern Crabs Restaurant in Ampang Klang Valley

A beautiful marriage of sweet & salty! If I were to choose my top pau or buns dishes, Lau Sar Pau would certainly be in it. Steaming hot buns with salty & sweet custard oozing out when you take the first bite.... Some prefer them saltier and some prefer them sweeter but this was pleasantly balance!

Delightful Baby Octopus Dim Sum - Eastern Crabs Restaurant in Ampang Klang Valley
 Delightful Baby Octopus Dim Sum

I’ve had baby octopus with sushi at Japanese restaurant most things really, yet baby octopus dim sum was certainly a new one for me. These glorious little bites of bouncy, smoky octopus, paired with freshly steamed siew mai were refreshingly delicious and definitely something I’d order again.

Century Eggs Dim Sum - Eastern Crabs Restaurant in Ampang Klang Valley
   Century Eggs Dim Sum

If you like century eggs, I suggest that you try out this special dim sum. Fish paste is served wrapped in bean curd sheets & topped with a piece of century egg. This dim sum has a bouncy texture beneath the tofu skin, lurked a springy & chewy fish paste which it definitely tastes delectable.
