The French luxury hotel brand has collaborated with none other than Chef Dato’ Chef Haji Ismail Ahmad to provide a feast that will please your taste buds no end with the very best of traditional Malay cuisine.

Kwee Zeen, the Hotel’s all-day dining restaurant will welcome guests with warm and traditional decorations which compliment the culinary delights. The Hotel’s Executive Chef Kim Gates, together with celebrity Chef Dato’ Chef Haji Ismail Ahmad promises to provide guests with the authentic flavour of traditional Malay cuisine.
Apart from that, the buffet will also feature more than 180 delightful dishes, a mix of Fresh Seafood, Chinese, Indian, Japanese and Western favourites.

The salad bar offers Pecal, Lawar Jantung, Rendang Pucuk Ubi, Kerabu Mangga Muda, Kerabu Taugeh and Kerang, Kerabu Daging Bakar, and more to kick start your appetite. Among the main courses are Ayam Percik Kelantan, Daging Salai Masak Lemak Cili Padi, Asam Pedas Ikan Pari, Sambal Udang Petai, Telur Itik Masak Lemak Cili Api among others.
In addition, the buffet will also feature one of Chef Dato’ Chef Haji Ismail Ahmad’s most famous creations, Ayam Golek Istana, a royal dish prepare only to be served in the Palace. There will also be live carving stations and grill sections.
For dessert lovers, indulge in a wide variety of heavenly local Malaysian delicacies like Pulut Durian and Seri Muka, Cendol, assorted cakes, and pastries, just to name a few.

“We strive to elevate the guests’ dining experience as much as possible by using fresh ingredients and traditional cooking methods to retain the original taste of each dish. Besides all that, the best recipes are still patience and cooking from the heart” said Dato’ Chef Haji Ismail Ahmad.
“This year in honour of holy Ramadan, we prepared our menus to focus on popular dishes from all over Malaysia. These are traditional Malay dishes prepared home cooked style and with the help of Dato’ Chef Haji Ismail Ahmad, we want to transport our guests to the kitchens of homes in Malaysia,” said Franck Loison, General Manager at Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara.
“Though he has a hectic schedule to keep to, Dato’ Chef Haji Ismail Ahmad spent 3 days with my team and I share some of his greatest tips, tricks and cooking technique for our preparation”, Kim Gates, Executive Chef of Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara. Kim further adds that there will be a rotation of menus throughout the month.
Besides offering an assortment of tantalizing delicacies, the feast boasts live ‘gamelan’ performance. Surau facilities are available for our Muslim guests as well as ample parking spaces.
