Taking a break from my busy schedule recently, my hubby and I went for a short stay for 2 days 1-night weekend retreats at one of our favourites 5-star hotel ~ Grand Bluewave Hotel Shah Alam in Selangor.

Checking in was a breeze with the friendly and efficient staff, Cik Syahirah for the sweetest smile ever to welcome us for the stay. Our newly refurbished Deluxe Room was located on the Club Floor. 

We were happy to know that all the rooms have just been renovated and refurbished recently. Our room was furnished with a plush king-sized bed comes with top quality bedding for a good night's sleep.

Located on 18th-floor, our room features modern and workable space with individually controlled air-conditioning, LED television with satellite channels, IDD telephone, High-Speed Internet access, personal electronic in-room safe deposit box, minibar,  hairdryer, steam iron and ironing board. 

The decor was modern classic with a gold hue wallpaper and matching the lush carpet to complete the whole look.

The bathroom comes with a separate bathtub with complimentary toiletries at your disposal. Good time for good bath soaking in during my staycation.

My pampering time begins with a lovely welcome foot bath ~ Lime Floral Foot Bath. Felt awesome and relax plus smelling really good indeed with the lime aroma foot soak to refresh my tired feet before I proceed to the next treatment. My feet never felt so good before!

This was followed by Mococa Full Body Mask where Cik Nita gave me a delicate and gentle body scrubs. The Mococa Full Body Mask is delicious cocoa, coconut milk and coffee scrubs that provide soothing nourishment to the skin while delighting the senses.

The full body exfoliation therapy is both hydrating and calming to the skin, this rich smooth body mask leaves a soft and delicious fragrance. No photos allowed during this session for the client's privacy!  

I finish the spa experience with a wonderfully relaxing Rose & Milk Bath. 

Had a good 15 minutes to soak in the warmth and fragrant flower with the milk bath and immerse my body with the therapeutic bath filled with nice smelling rose petals ... so so nice!  

I was totally refreshed from head-to-toe with the bath hydrates the skin leaving it soft, supple and glowing. So, if you are feeling stress, strained or exhausted from work, then I would suggest you go get some 'Me Time' at the Bayu Spa for some spa time which is good for your mind and body.

Indoor Swimming Pool

Grand Bluewave Hotel Shah Alam houses an indoor swimming pool with ample sun loungers for the family to relax in. Being a halal-friendly hotel, the swimming pool is a closed pool with privileges such as specific pool time reserved for ladies only.

Families with young children will be delighted to know that there is a well-equipped little playroom, offering all day long activities for the children to play and explore. ensuring hours of fun for the whole family.

Workout At The Hotel's Gym

Ever since my hubby and I have embarked on a fitness journey, we always make time for our daily workouts, even though we are on our holidays break. We were both delighted to know that the hotel offers gym facilities within the hotel.

So first thing in the morning after waking up, we hit the hotel gym. We did a 30 minutes workout at the gym on an empty stomach to burn more calories, making sure our body is in a calories deficit state to burn the extra fats!

My hubby and I have a great time working out at the fully-equipped gym and were happy to know that there's no one else interested in a morning workout that day!
