Located in a traditional village home compound, Peng Cheh Pan Meen Stall has been quietly operating for over three decades. It is a genuine, no-name roadside hidden gem that can be a bit tricky for first-timers to spot, but it is well worth the hunt.

The Feast & Honest Taste Review

While Pan Mee and Fish Head Noodles are their top claims to fame, we went straight for the fish head noodles—and it proved to be an incredible, value-for-money feast packed with generous ingredients!

Fish Head Noodles At Jalan Pasar, Kampung Baru Seri Kembangan

Deep Fried Fish Meat Noodles (RM 23)

This was the absolute star of the meal! The massive bowl arrived, loaded with five huge, thick pieces of deep-fried fish. The soup was wonderfully rich and creamy, heightened by evaporated milk without feeling overly heavy.

One standout detail is their choice of noodles: they use a premium brand of fine rice vermicelli, prized for fish head noodles. It boasts a remarkably silky, smooth texture while remaining resilient and pleasantly chewy, ensuring it never becomes soggy or breaks apart in the hot broth.

To top it off, chopped coriander and scallions are served separately so they retain their crisp freshness, while their fiery, aromatic sambal belacan adds a fantastic kick to every bite.

Fresh Fish Noodles (RM 17)

A lighter, equally satisfying option featuring tender, fresh fish slices cooked to perfection in their signature creamy broth. This is my hubby's favorite fish noodles, cooked with fresh fish head instead of deep-fried ones!

Hakka Yong Tau Foo (RM 2.20 / piece)

We also sampled a few pieces of their handmade Hakka Yong Tau Foo. To be completely honest, these were fairly average, so-so, and nothing much to shout about compared to the stellar noodles. However, they still make for a decent side bite if you want a little extra variety with your meal.

Kopi (RM 2.40)

A classic, thick, and aromatic local brew that paired wonderfully with the hot noodle soup.

FollowMeToEatLa Parking Tip

Finding parking right outside along Jalan Pasar can be notoriously difficult due to the narrow village roads. Save yourself the headache by hunting for a vacant slot further down the road near the playground, where it’s just a breezy 3-minute walk back to the stall.
