History has been served! The Oriental Group of Restaurants has officially entered the Malaysia Book of Records after successfully creating the Biggest Dumpling Siu Mai Dim Sum—a monumental culinary achievement celebrating Malaysia’s deep-rooted love for dim sum and Cantonese cuisine.
The Dumpling Siu Mai Dim Sum With A Whopping Weight Of 23.8kg
The historic attempt took place at The Han Room, where Oriental Group’s master dim sum chefs will craft a gigantic siu mai dumpling — a beloved Cantonese classic — on an unprecedented scale. The event will highlight the artistry, craftsmanship, and heritage behind traditional dim sum preparation while pushing culinary boundaries.
Weighing 23.8kg with a height of 30.48cm and a diameter of 34cm, the siu mai is set to be one of the largest ever attempted and could potentially become the largest dumpling siu mai ever created in the world.
