I have been wanting to write about this Chilly Pan Mee story for the longest time in my blog. You see, the first time I heard about the chilly Pan Mee was from my youngest daughter who is a great fan of it.

Clarrisha used to study in IMU, International Medical University in Bukit Jalil, so she and her batch mates would travel to this shop, Restoran Super Kitchen at Sri Petaling to satisfy their craving for the super spicy chilly Pan Mee from time to time. It's their favourite hideout for comfort food, especially after some stressful exam.

Here goes my tasting experience of the Chilly Pan Mee; paying tribute to my daughter's all-time top favourite comfort food to eat!  πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

Here's my very first bowl of chilly Pan Mee. Looks good and decent with house made noodles - Pan Mee. Every bowl of chilli Pan Mee comes served with a bowl of potatoes leaves soup. The soup is decent with a fair amount of potato leaves which is a good complement while eating the dry and spicy noodle. It comes handy for me especially when the spiciness kicks in and I needed some soup to "douse" the flame in my mouth! 😝😝😝

Toppings for the chilly Pan Mee consists of some finely minced pork, a fair amount of deep-fried crispy anchovies (ikan bilis), fried garlic and their perfectly poached egg.

The trick to eating this popular chilly Pan Mee is to break up the runny yolk, mix it all up in your bowl after you add in the lethal signature homemade secret recipe chilli flakes. Let me warn you beforehand that their chilli mixture is SUPER SPICY, seriously not for those who can't take spicy food.

You can always start off with half a teaspoon and add in more as you like for extra kick of spiciness. I'm not really into very spicy food, so I managed well with a quarter or more teaspoon which is very spicy for me.

Nevertheless, you are still unsure how to go about savouring this tasty extra-kick chilly Pan Mee.... you can view the step-by-step process > Here

Next, as for the Pork Chop Pan Mee, using the same kind of noodles and flavourings with the exception of runny egg, minced pork, fried anchovies (ikan billis), it's replaced with a big piece of deep-fried well-flavoured pork chop and extra pieces of deep fried beancurd sheets (Fu Chuk).

You can add on the signature chilly mixture for the extra spiciness and mix it up before tasting. I do enjoy my appetising piece of pork chop which I believe is marinated overnight with the fragrant 5 spice powder which makes the pork very delicious indeed to eat with the noodles.

Deep Fried Wantan RM 6.80

If you are looking for some extra bites of snack, you can order from their wide choices of up to 9 types of sides to fill up your tummy. There are the meatballs Fu Chuk soup, Wantan soup, Dumpling Soup to Deep Fried Dumpling, Wantan, Fu Chuk, Fish Fillet, Pork Meat and 5 Spice Pork Meat.

Deep Fried Wantan RM 6.80
For me, these Deep Fried Wantan is not good enough for me. Just average due to the lack of filling. Don't take my words for it, just come and try yourself to see if it's good enough for your taste. Although it's crispy and well fried, it lacks the meaty bite to it. Much room for improvements.
