Embark on a culinary journey that spans three generations, starting from 1968. Nasi Kandar Basikal, a name that echoes through Malaysian culinary history, was born under a humble 'Bakul Kandar' tree in Bagan Datuk, Perak, by the visionary Mr. Muthalu Shaib, the grandfather of the Nasi Kandar Basikal founder.

His father, Mr. Seeltannan, sold his Nasi Kandar on a bicycle, also known in Malay as 'Basikal,' in the 1990s. Continuing the legacy, Mr. Mathana Shaib named his restaurant Nasi Kandar Basikal to honour his family roots in Perak!
