Recently Auntie Lilly and friends had the pleasure of dining at OUG Jade Restaurant, a Chinese restaurant located in Taman Overseas Union, Kuala Lumpur. It was my first time visiting this neighbourhood gem, and I was pleasantly surprised by the value and quality of the food.
Soup Of The Day
They offer a fantastic value set lunch promotion, which includes soup, steamed rice and fruits. The best part is that there are four different set lunch options to choose from, each with varying numbers of dishes and prices. The prices range from as low as RM 98.80++ for 4 dishes to RM 198.80++ for 7 dishes.
What I appreciated most was the variety of dishes available in each set. There were options for fish, seafood, pork, poultry, vegetables, beancurd, and eggs. This means that no matter what your dietary preferences are, there will be something for you to enjoy.

We opted for the RM 128.80++ Set Lunch B, which came with five dishes. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. My personal favourites were the Garlic & Ginger Sauce Steamed Grass Carp, Claypot Indonesia-Style White Prawns, Chef's Special Recipe Chicken and Claypot Hakka-Style Pork Belly. Although the portions were not generous, they did make for a very satisfying meal.
Overall, I would highly recommend OUG Jade Restaurant to anyone looking for an affordable and delicious Chinese dining experience. The value-set lunch promotion is a steal, and the variety of dishes available ensures that there is something for everyone to enjoy. I'll definitely be back for more!
