Tucked away as a no-signboard local hotspot, the prices here are unbelievably cheap for the quality you get. It’s basically home-cooked goodness served roadside near a residential area, and the crowd proves its worth!

The Vibe & Tips:

It's VERY CROWDED—mostly large families! Diners start coming as early as 4:30 PM. Must WAIT: Be prepared to wait patiently for seats and food prep, but the wait time is totally acceptable and worth it.

Go Early: Seats are full by 6 PM on weekdays and by 5 PM on weekends/holidays!

The Food (The REAL Reason We Came): Every dish had that distinct, beautiful "wok hei" flavour! Everything was fresh and utterly delicious. Additionally, the rice is priced at only RM1 per plate, making it extremely affordable.

Our absolute must-try standout dish was the Steamed Tilapia with Spicy Bean Sauce (Cheong Cheng Style) - RM35 (for a 700g fish!) 

We also absolutely loved the rest of the pork and tofu dishes we ordered. Next round will definitely order their famous and crowd favourite, Deep-Fried Belacan Chicken Wings!

The Damage:

Our total bill for 3 pax, including 3 meat dishes and 1 tofu, came to only RM 71! OMG, this is probably one of the cheapest and most satisfying Tai Chow restaurants I have ever eaten at. Totally worth the long drive from home!
