Come and check out this ZAINUL NASI KANDAR PULAU PINANG at Lorong Sultan, Section 52, Old Town in Petaling Jaya. For only RM 6, you get a huge plate of rice comes with a huge portion big yummy Fried Chicken, taugeh, sambal belacan and & papadom, doused in a mixture of curries gravies. I was totally in awe over the mixture of rich-tasting curries of ayam, daging and ikan, done in the original Nasi Kandar-style where they banjir or flood your rice!

Be prepared to queue after 12pm, that's when the lunch crowd arrives. Everyone needs to queue whether you are eating in or doing takeaways. The staple is standard at Zainul Nasi Kandar, each plate comes with rice and blanched bean sprouts and you proceed to choose your choice of meat. 

  

The most popular dish is their Fish Head Curry, chicken curry, fish curry, daging masak hitam, deep-fried squid, fried fish, begedil and many more. But for a good cheap eat, everyone picks the Ayam Goreng or Fried Chicken.

What's makes it so tasty is that they are constantly cooking and frying the chicken at the stall. So each piece is still crispy hot and fragrant from the hot wok. Since it's one of their most hot-selling food, it's constantly replenished from the kitchen all day long. 

I noticed this very big pot of blanched taugeh that goes with each plate of rice. From the size of this big pot, you can see how good the business must be for them all day long. Oh yes, did I forgot to mention that they allowed diners to top up the taugeh with no extra charges? You just go ask the lady manning the taugeh counter, "Adik, tolong tambah taugeh, sikit?" So nice wei!   

Here's the bowl of all three curries mixed together from Curry Ayam, Curry Ikan and Curry Daging. Just doused them in your hot plate of rice, mix it up, take a big spoonful of it with your taugeh, chicken, sambal belacan - you'll be transported to seventh heaven with the rice.

These are the papadom - comes free flow too. You just help yourself to the big container at the table beside the stall when you want to top up. But don't be agree, just take enough for yourself, don't waste it, ok? I eat these using the papadom to scoop up the sambal belacan, so so delicious indeed!  

My RM 6 - Zainul Nasi Kandar With Ayam Goreng

I loved this authentic Penang's Nasi Kandar, just mixed them all up - rice with the spicy, flavoursome and thick gravies to send you to seventh heaven. If you're a big eater, can opt for NASI AYAM BESAR for RM 8.50 but seriously the NASI AYAM KECIL for RM 6 is a huge portion indeed ~  very generous if compared to many others stalls.
