BAD SERVICE ALERT: 

Rude Encounter At Girl & Mommy Curry Mee Jalan Chan Sow Lin

A "Hidden Warning" for my followers—don’t let this lady ruin your meal!

I’ve always loved the Curry Mee at Girl & Mommy Curry Mee In Jalan Chan Sow Lin for those juicy cockles (siham), but my recent visit was completely ruined by a terribly rude experience with the lady taking drink orders.

Here is what happened:

 
The Scolding:

We walked into the shop unaware of any house rules & didn't see the sign. Just sat down with our own water tumblers. Instead of explaining the house rules politely, she immediately began berating & scolding us for not noticing a sign outside. She walks away immediately without taking our drinks orders after that.

The Disrespect: 
When my husband took a sip from his own tumbler, she rushed over & shouted, "Respect us la! You're not allowed to drink water here!"

The Arrogant Attitude:
She even dared me to post this on social media, shouting that she wasn't intimidated at all.

My Take:

Auntie Lilly understands shops have rules, but there is no excuse for being rude & disrespectful to paying customers. A simple, polite explanation would have been enough. 

Apparently, this is a common issue with her when people don't order drinks. It’s such a shame because the food is good, but the drinks service is unacceptable. 

Auntie Lilly's Advice: 

If you go for the curry mee, just be prepared for the "Lady in Red." I’m sharing this so none of you have to go through the same shocking treatment we did! 

PS: Just to clarify, the Curry Mee stall is a tenant and is separate from the drinks management—the food is still great; it's just the drinks service that was the issue!
