Serving Portion - 5 Pax
Grand BlueWave Hotel Shah Alam's latest crab promotion is aptly named 'CRAB YUMMY COMBO', curated by Chinese cuisine specialized chef, Chef Patrick Ng. Chef's creative culinary experience in bringing the best 100% HALAL Chinese cuisine to Tung Yuen Chinese Restaurant is evident in many of his special creations of Chinese delicacies throughout these years.
Special Mud Crabs that are famous for its succulent and tender meat are used for this promotion. Diners can choose to try two (2) kind of cooking style to suit their palate, lovingly prepared by Chinese cuisine specialized chef, Chef Patrick Ng.
You can choose from either Baked Spicy Mud Crab or Pan Fried Hot And Sour Mud Crab With Mantou.

Crab-Licious Spread Of All Crabs Dishes Video
The delicious 6-Course 'CRAB YUMMY COMBO' consists of the mud crabs as mains and comes with Crab Meat Soup, Kailan with Crab Meat, Chicken 'Pei Pa' and not forgetting some noodles of Yee Mee or White Rice.
During the tasting session, serving portion prepared by Chef Patrick is approximately for 5 pax in all the serving for crabs, chicken, soup, noodles, vegetables and desserts. Complete the crab-licious dining experience with a dessert of the Pomelo Mango Pudding.

Crab Meat Soup
Noodles Of Fried Yee Mee With Shiitake Mushrooms & Shimeji Mushrooms
Good choice to serve some noodles to go with the rest of the crab's dishes. This carbs rich dish will definitely fill up those hungry tummies. If you're not very keen on noodles, switch the noodles for some warm white rice if you like!
Chicken 'Pei Pa'
Apart from the delicious crabs, I truly enjoyed this deep-fried whole Chicken 'Pei Pa' - it was well-marinated with 5 spice powder, fragrant and crispy on the outside while juicy on the inside. The portion was huge for 5 pax for chef must have selected a much bigger bird for the promotion. Just look at the thick chunky breast meat for this dish.
As much as I enjoyed this chicken dish, I would prefer chef to place the dipping sauce in a separate bowl so it does not soak up the chicken, thus making it less crispy and it does get a bit too salty or overwhelming. I like my 'Pei Pa Kai' - just the way it is - served deep-fried to perfection with very crispy chicken skin without the brown sauce.
Kailan with Crab Meat
Kailan with Crab Meat, an excellent choice to cook with the crab meat. Chef prepared a simple and healthy vegetable dish using young shoots of Kai Lan or Chinese Kale/Broccoli as the base for the flavourful crab meat sauce.
5 Mantou To Go With The Crab Dish
Pomelo Mango Pudding
One of the best tasting Pomelo Mango Pudding I have ever eaten. Chef told me that for this dessert, he was sure to use those fragrant and juicy sweet local mangoes to be puree and mixed together with the highly nutritious basil seeds, sago, mango cubes and not forgetting some sweet-bitterish pomelo for the extra zest.
It was smooth and creamy - very fragrant with the natural sweetness coming from the premium mangoes. I really enjoyed this dessert to the last spoonful!
