If you're a fan of prawn noodles, then you must check out Da Shi Jia Big Prawn Mee Shop located at Killiney Road in Singapore. My daughter absolutely loves the Wok Fried Big Prawn Mee Hoon dish at this restaurant - it's one of her favourite places to get prawn noodles. This quaint little restaurant specialises in prawn mee and has been a favourite among locals since it opened in early 2018.

The shop is run by husband and wife team, Seth Sim and Yvonne, and they offer a variety of price points for their prawn noodles, with the prices increasing along with the size of the prawns. Seth shared that he relies solely on the catch of the day to determine the variety of prawns served.
One dish that you simply must try at Da Shi Jia is the Wok Fried Big Prawn White Bee Hoon, which happens to be our personal favourite. The prawns are first fried over high heat, giving them a deliciously charred texture and a wonderful wok hei aroma. Then, the bee hoon is stir-fried with a medley of shallots, garlic, Kang kong, slices of pork and lard, before being simmered in a prawn broth to absorb all the rich and robust flavours. The end result is a mouthwatering plate of bee hoon that is bursting with garlicky goodness and topped with succulent, wok hei-rich prawns.
Menu
While the menu spread at Da Shi Jia may not be extensive, there's definitely something for everyone. So the next time you're in the area, make sure to stop by and try out their delicious prawn noodles. And who knows, it may become a new favourite spot too!
