From installing an imported Korean Bingsu machine to make its own luxurious and soft snow shaved ice flakes to have a nutritious and healthy menu and Korean coffee, Table9 Cafe & Kitchen is a place that sets its sights on standing out from other neighbourhood cafes in Bangsar. They serve up Italian cuisine with an Asian twist to their menu.

This newly opened cafe located strategically along Jalan Telawi 3 in Bangsar is a cosy, friendly service and serving quality food thus making its presence as the neighbourhood's latest favourite hangout spot.

Creative Italian Delicacies Infused With Korean Touch 

Table9 Cafe & Kitchen offers a simple menu serving All-Day Breakfast, Salads, Small Bites, Sandwiches to savoury Pasta, Pizza, Risotto. Those looking for a filling meal can check out their House Specials with Chef's Signature Mains of chicken, fish and lamb shank to tempt their palate.

"Their style of cooking is influenced by Western cuisine but infused with a Korean touch," said Eve's owner of the cafe. "We source from local produce when possible and place great importance on using fresh and premium ingredients in our dishes. Everything is made from scratch, and we try to avoid dishes that can be found at other regular cafes".

Japanese Cucumber

Light and refreshing small bites of Japanese Cucumber was a good starter, to begin with. Finely sliced zucchini dressed in a spicy sesame sauce was served chilled with coriander leaves and chopped little tiny bits of bird-eye chilli for the extra kick.

If you can take the heat, just go for it. However, for those who can't stand anything spicy like the chili padi, I suggest you look out for it and have it 'safely' removed to avoid biting into it!

Sauteed Mix Mushrooms Salad

There is also the Sauteed Mix Mushroom Salad, which is served with delicious Italian Parmesan cheese, Grana Padano cheese, mushrooms, and fresh greens, with a light drizzle of Balsamic dressing to heighten the flavours.

Chicken Jager Schnitzel

Try their Chef's House Specials of Chicken Jager Schnitzel for something unique. My personal favorite was this classic German dish. Deep-fried, crispy, moist, and juicy breaded chicken fillet is served with flavourful and rich mushroom gravy. I loved the creamy and rich taste of the house-made white sauce, which really goes well with the mushrooms and chicken. 

BLT Sandwich

Everyone loves the classic combination of crispy bacon, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomato. Light eaters may opt for the BLT Sandwich, featuring a hearty serving of rashers of turkey bacon, cheese, tomato, and lettuce sandwiched between brown toast. If you are wondering what's 'BLT,' it simply means 'Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato.'

Aglio Olio Tossed With Garlic Infused Olive Oil With Jalapenos Pasta

If you are a die-hard fan of pasta dishes, then this is the right place to dine. Table9 Cafe & Kitchen serves various Aglio Olio style pasta (cooked in Olive oil) or a Creamy version ( In White Sauce/tomato-based Sauce). There are 11 pasta dishes, including Garlic and parsley pasta, Alfredo Pasta, Carbonara, Frutti Di Mare seafood pasta, house basil pesto, Jalapenos pasta, and more. 

Sweet cherry tomatoes, jalapenos peppers, and broccoli—so light, fresh, and flavourful—are the fresh ingredients for the simple and delicious Aglio Olio Jalapenos Pasta dish. I was pleasantly surprised by this simple vegetarian pasta dish and really enjoyed the classic Aglio Olio pasta with the addition of the spicy fermented jalapenos peppers.

These fermented jalapeno peppers pack a punch of pepper power with a depth of flavor not found in regular pickled peppers I have tasted. Eve added that she had to source these fermented jalapeno peppers from aboard just for this unique dish. It's a great dish to try, especially for those looking into something light and low in calories. It's suitable for weight-watchers as it's a healthy and delicious pasta dish.    

Picante Seafood Pasta

For seafood lovers, you have to try Table9 ~ Picante Seafood Pasta. Living up to its name, the pasta has sizable mussels, juicy prawns, and chunky white squids cooked in a vibrant, rich, and spicy tomato-based sauce.

The last main was an Italian rice dish - Table Picante Cream Risotto. The rice was well-cooked to be creamy and tender texture, served with juicy and succulent mussel and broccoli.

If you are stepping into the cozy cafe for breakfast, allow yourself the Table9 All-Day Breakfast: Generous serving portions of beef bacon, chicken sausage, sauteed mushrooms, grilled tomato, hashed potatoes, toast (with butter and jam), and your choice of scrambled or sunny-side-up egg. Top up RM 2 to upgrade to the pancake and RM 1 for the soft and fluffy French toast.

Coffee Lovers Bingsu ~ Espresso Bingsu

You can pick and choose your favorite flavors from eight varieties of Bingsu, starting with Espresso, Red Bean Mochi, Tomato, and Oreo and ending with Blueberry, Green Tea, Tiramisu, and the fruity Mango Bingsu.

The Oreo Bingsu is our favourite. It's topped with sweet chocolate Oreo crumbs, and you can let the smooth shaving of milky ice flakes slowly melt in your mouth and your heart. 

Tomato Bingsu

I have never tasted anything like this —the Tomato Bingsu. Highly recommended by Eve, it's a pretty impressive Bingsu served with a sliced tomato shaped like a pretty rose flower. Fresh and cooling tomato puree is topped with smooth, flaky milky shavings.
