Last weekend, my hubby and I had a lovely Sunday brunch when invited to dine at Le Pont Boulangerie in Sri Petaling. They served a pretty impressive selection of French cuisine including freshly baked pastries, cakes, bread, desserts and coffee too. Since opening its doors 2 years ago, Le Pont has impressed many a foodie with its authentic presentation of French casual fine dining in a spacious and elegant environment. Here, the dining experience draws inspiration from joie de vivre, a French expression meaning ‘enjoyment of life’, inviting patrons to savour an eclectic mix of hearty European fare, desserts, pastries and signature coffee.
Now, Le Pont takes things further with the unveiling of its latest menu themed ‘Paris Parfait’. A labour of love by the café’s experienced and passionate chefs, the menu revisits Le Pont’s Parisian roots with sensational new French dishes prepared using the refined cooking method of sous vide.
Commonly available only in upscale fine dining restaurants, the sous vide style entails great precision to fully seal in the food’s natural flavour and juices. Thus, Le Pont customers can be assured of a taste meticulously prepared by skilled hands and high-end equipment to deliver perfection in every bite.

For the main course section, new dishes to try are Baked Escargot, Cajun Chicken Raisin Rice, Butter Fish Papillote and Chicken Pate. One must-try selection is the Chicken Pate – instead of the usual mousse style, Le Pont’s version is served in the form of a meatloaf alongside spaghetti, button mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.

Scrumptious and well-balanced, both the Lemon Caper Chicken and Butter Fish Papillote are excellent options for those seeking a delicious yet nutritious meal. The Lemon Caper Chicken offers crisp pan-fried chicken whole leg pressure cooked with lemon caper sauce and anchovies till tender.
Butter Fish Papillote

while the Butter Fish Papillote consists of succulent white tuna cooked sous vide style in parchment paper, before being baked with onions, carrots, leeks, button mushrooms, dill and lemon. This dish will definitely appeal to those looking for a healthy low-carb nutritious meal!

The dish comes with half dozen escargot baked nicely with cheese and garlic cream sauce, complemented with spinach and a slow cooked egg. Served with a side of garlic bread.
Chicken Leek Soup

Try the comforting Chicken Leek Soup ~ Rich aromatic broth made from baked chicken with herbs, grilled leek and topping of shredded chicken. Served with a soft roll bun. You might want another add-on for their nice little soft roll bun for it was a nice bun with a fluffy inside that goes hand-in-hand with the flavourful creamy soup.

Churros Mania ~ Crispy churros coated with a sprinkling of orange zest and cinnamon sugar. Simply irresistible especially for those who loves the fragrant smell of the sweet cinnamon.
Crisp and chewy with a hint of sweetness, the Churros Mania comes with four unique dips - homemade vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and orange marmalade. I loved my churros as it is but orange marmalade is also highly recommended.

Surely the tea lovers will delight in the tea infused desserts. First off, there is the Lychee & Earl Grey Ice which is a refreshing blend of homemade vanilla ice-cream, Bavarian lychee, earl grey and jelly. Also not to be missed is the Chamomile Panna Cotta, a luscious flavoured pudding infused with chamomile tea, passion fruit and a topping of coconut foam. What's not to love?
