I stumbled upon Ying Sister YTF in Ampang after a disappointing meal at Foong Foong Ampang Yong Tau Foo, a stall that was once a longtime favorite. Unfortunately, their soup was bland, the fish paste lacked texture and damn salty, and each piece, priced at RM2.20, felt overpriced for the quality.

Yong Tau Fu Served In The Flavourful Soup
The star of the show is their clear, flavorful soup, made from mackerel and ikan bilis fish bones, plus chicken bones — a trio that brings deep umami and natural sweetness to every sip. You can enjoy the Yong Tau Foo in soup, dry with toppings, or deep-fried.
Noodles Soup

White Rice
RM0.60 (Small) & RM1 (Big)
Don’t forget the carbs! Their rice is just RM0.60 (small) and RM1 (big), while the dry noodles are topped with minced pork and crispy shallots—so good you could enjoy them on their own. It's a steal, priced at RM6.50 for small and RM7.50 for big.
Pro Tip: Visit on weekends for the widest selection. They're closed on Mondays and Fridays, and sometimes on Tuesdays if there’s no fresh fish — so it's best to call ahead if you’re planning a Tuesday visit.
