We had such a satisfying meal at Restoran Wai Kee, a humble ma & pa eatery that’s been serving delicious Hakka fare for over 37 years. This place stands the test of time — it’s a neighbourhood favourite where families and friends have been dining for decades.

Their signature Hakka Yong Tau Foo is the star of the show — and honestly, no table leaves without ordering a platter! We had 32 pieces (yes, we went overboard ) and our favourites were the white tofu, tofu pok, brinjal, chilli, and the deep-fried beancurd. Every bite was fresh, savoury, and made with care.

What really touched us was the boss himself — such a kind, down-to-earth man who sat with us to patiently take our order and even advised us not to over-order (rare, right?). That personal touch made it feel like dining at a friend’s home.

We had an absolute mini feast for RM 190 for 5 pax — one of the best spots in town for hearty Yong Tau Foo and homestyle Hakka dishes at reasonable prices.
