No hotpot meal is complete without the right sauce, and Da Long Yi 大龙燚火锅 offers diner their dipping sauce with a mix of minced garlic, minced chillies, chopped scallions and cilantro. Pour in their special fragrant sesame oil - Xiang You 香油.
Dipping Sauce Counter
The fragrant sesame oil helps to tone down the spiciness whereas the minced garlic does its job to kill the bacteria of uncooked meat. If you are looking for a more robust flavour dipping sauce, you may add-in oyster sauce and black vinegar to enhance it.
If you look close enough at the menu, there's a guide to the cooking time of each food items from seconds to minutes. I find it quite interesting and believe that this is a general guide to make sure that enthusiastic or adventurous hotpot diners going overboard to undercook or overcook the fresh ingredients.
