With its latest new menu offerings, helm by new head Chef Don Daniel Theseira, a Malaccan with over 35 years of culinary experience spanning from Malaysia, Singapore to Fremantle and Perth in Australia.

Roasted Mushroom Soup ~ RM15

Our starter for the nite is Roasted Mushroom Soup. Roasted button mushrooms blended and braised into the creamy concoction, garnished with parsley and cream, best served hot with slices garlic bread. I found it to be just okay, nothing special but wonders why it comes with a sourish taste.

Crowd Pleaser: Nachos Chilli Con Carne ~ RM 28

Nachos Chilli Con Carne is a sinful appetizer, a crunchy starter with crispy nachos drenched in Chef Don's special homemade chilli con carne served topped with creamy melted cheese and jalapenos. Simply delicious, can't stop eating it and can be quite addictive too!

Classic: Spicy Bacon Pizza ~ RM 28

Another interesting starter is the Thin Crust Spicy Bacon Pizza. Topped with lots of cheese, pork bacon, chopped capsicum and olives with a tomato-based sauce, the pizza sure hits the right spots. The flavour is rich and they are generous with the cheese. Baked to perfection, this makes it a nice light bites to go with your drinks.

Sinful Indulgence: Crispy Pork Knuckle ~ RM 88

One of the must-have for pork-lovers is the Crispy Pork Knuckle. Whetting meat lovers' appetites, a 1.3kg imported knuckle is first marinated for over 24 hours and then grilled in the oven making the skin crispy. This results in juicy meat, with a crispy, golden brown outer skin and crust. The dish is a sinful indulgence as the knuckle contained a good balance of fat and lean meat.

Served with a combination of grilled bacon, roasted vegetables, corn-on-cob, savoury brown sauce and Chef Don's special homemade chilli garlic sauce. It's comes with a price of RM 88 and good for 2 to 3 pax sharing.

Weight-watcher may find the meal greasy but those who enjoy pork will love it. Bon appetit!

Chilli Padi Chicken ~ RM 16

For something from the Local favourites, try the Chilli Padi Chicken, Chef Don's own creation which you can't find it anywhere else. Fresh herbs and spices which includes bunga kantan, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, green chillies, onions, chilli padi, ginger together with 4 secret spices are used for this dish. Served in clay pot and comes with a generous serving of succulent chicken thigh, keropok and choice of bread or white rice with in-house made mango pickles.

An aromatic dish and it's not too spicy but very likeable with each spoonful. Hearty and full of flavour, perfect to be eaten with rice or bread too. This local dish is a real winner for me.

A Must Try: Devil's Curry ~ RM 16

Paying homage to Malacca's mouthwatering dishes, Devil's Curry is one special dish you should not miss out. Coming from Chef Don's heritage and time-honoured family recipes, this Portuguese dish is truly authentic and sumptuously tasty from his Eurasian kitchen. It's hearty and full of flavour, perfect to be eaten with bread or rice. Served claypot-styled together with keropok and choice of bread or white rice with in-house made mango pickles.

Mutton Dry Curry ~ RM 18

If the chicken doesn't excite you, maybe you should try this Mutton Dry Curry instead. Tender mutton cubes dry curry served in clay pot with keropok and choice of bread or white rice with mango pickles.
Grilled Pork Chop ~ RM 30

Grilled Pork Chop ~ Richly seasoned, well marinated in a blend of lemongrass, ginger and garlic, grilled to perfection. Juicy and tender with a hint of fresh herbs waking up our taste buds. Topped with bacon, served with grilled vegetables, fries and choice of BBQ, black pepper or mushroom sauce on the side, bringing out the best in the chops.

Silence of The Lamb ~ RM 30

Silence of The Lamb is another notable main dish to try. A generous serving of 300gm grilled lamb shoulder served with fries, grilled vegetables and homemade black pepper and mint sauce. The meat is juicy and tender, with everything in place, this dish makes a satisfying meal for anyone who loves lamb chops.

Australian Sticky Pork Ribs ~ RM 42 (Half Slab)

Succulent pork ribs well-marinated for over 24 hours in D & D's special blend sauce, grilled to perfection and served with mashed potatoes, corn-on-cob, grilled vegetables and choice of BBQ, black pepper or mushroom sauce on the side.

Other specialities include the following dishes ....
Grilled Chicken Chop ~ RM 26

Super Rich & Creamy: Spaghetti Carbonara with Bacon ~ RM 24

Malaccan Portuguese Spicy Noodles ~ RM 14

Dreamy Dessert: Molten Lava Cake ~ RM 16

To end the meal on a sweet note, Chef Don presents us with his masterpiece ~ palate-melting creation Molten Lava Cake. This warm dessert features a pleasing-to-the-eye chocolate cake, served with strawberry ice cream, freshly cut strawberry. The ladies are pretty excited with oohs-aahs overheard even before tasting.

Simply irresistible! This is one of the best chocolate lava cake I've ever tasted. The cake is rich with chocolately flavour and a texture that is dense and moist. Digging into the ooey-gooey centre of the rich and delicious chocolate cake is so awesome.

Well, what a great way to end our perfect dining experience at Duke & Duchess!
