A Hearty Father's Day Feast at Big Big Eye Restaurant! We celebrated Father's Day with a wonderful family lunch at Big Big Eye Restaurant in Seri Kembangan. We returned to one of our favourite neighbourhood spots for this Father's Day celebration with my family.

This was our second time here, and it confirmed what we already suspected: this place offers generous portions and fantastic value for money, which is exceptional! It consistently delivers a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. 

For a full meal of 3 meat dishes, 1 vegetable, and fried rice for 4 people, our bill came to a very reasonable RM 145. Here's my honest breakdown of the meal:

MUST-TRY DISHES

King Spare Ribs 

RM 28 

Absolutely delicious! The meat was tender, flavourful, and a definite crowd-pleaser. Highly recommended!

Deep-Fried Butter Squid 

RM 28

Crispy, savoury, and addictive. Another fantastic choice that you can't go wrong with.

Stir-fry Garlic With Sweet Potato Leaves

This is a huge, generous portion for just RM 10! It's a perfect and affordable side dish, not oily and full of Wok-Hei!

 ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

Steamed Tilapia With Asam Sauce 

RM 50.40

 

Unfortunately, this dish was a miss for us. While we loved most of our meal, we decided to skip the steamed fish next time. We tried the Steamed Tilapia with Asam Sauce, and although the fish was fresh, the sauce was a bit too mild for our liking.

The asam sauce lacked the expected vibrant punch. It wasn't spicy or sour enough and missed the fragrance of fresh herbs and spices. This is their weak spot, as we had a similar experience on our last visit.

A Little Gift To All Diners Dining On Father's Day!

Final Verdict:

Based on our two visits, Big Big Eye excels at pork and squid dishes. If you're planning a meal here, we recommend sticking to those specialties. It's a great spot for a satisfying and affordable family feast!
