Jointly presented by the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs (TITA), and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the "Taiwan Excellence Wanderland Pop-Up Store 2024“ kicked off this morning at the Centre Court Concourse, G Floor, One Utama. The event attracted over 150 guests and local media representatives.

The "Taiwan Excellence Wanderland Pop-Up Store 2024" aims to provide the public with an interactive and entertaining environment to closely experience and understand Taiwan's innovative and high-quality products. This year, 32 Taiwanese brands are participating, showcasing 60 premium products, a 2.5-times increase compared to last year. This highlights the importance Taiwanese brands place on the Malaysian market.

During his speech, the Deputy Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia, James Buu, emphasized the close economic and trade relations between Taiwan and Malaysia. Last year, the total bilateral trade between Taiwan and Malaysia reached USD 24.857 billion. "As of September 2023, Taiwan's investment in Malaysia amounted to USD 600 million, making Taiwan the 8th largest investor in Malaysia.”
Many Taiwanese brands are participating in this event for the first time thanks to the strong trade relations. They hope to use this opportunity to introduce their brands and find potential agents and distributors to officially enter the Malaysian market.

Smart technology, AI, and green sustainability are two major development trends in modern society. With Malaysia's rapid economic development, there is a growing demand for smart living and eco-friendly products. Furthermore, aligning with the concept of green sustainability, the 'Taiwan Excellence Wanderland Pop-Up Store 2024' collaborated with the students and teachers of Passion Maker Academy on Old Klang Road to create 70 approximately 1-foot-tall papier-mรขchรฉ Fu Bears using eco-friendly paper and homemade glue. These bears were hand-painted by refugee school students, emphasizing that every child is unique.
Bringing Love Home! You can own this adorable Fu Bear with an RM50 donation. All proceeds will be donated to the Spastic Children's Association of Selangor & Federal Territory (SCAS & FT) to support their operational fund.
