Batu Arang's Iconic Structure You Will Not Miss Seeing Along The Busy Wet Market
On a quest to try new and unique dishes, we stumbled upon a roadside stall at the Batu Arang morning market that serves exceptional Braised Pork Noodles.
These noodles were a bargain at just RM 6.50 per bowl! The highlight was the homemade silver needle noodles, "Loh Shi Fun," or mouse noodles made from rice paste, which offered a unique and satisfying texture.
The noodles come in two options: soup or dry, both equally delicious. The soup version features a rich pork bone broth, while both are topped with tender, flavorful slices of braised pork belly. The dry version is smothered with braised pork sauce, thick soya sauce, and lard oil over the housemade rice noodles!
If you’re ever in Batu Arang, don’t miss out on this hidden gem. It’s a perfect example of how small towns often hold the best culinary secrets.
Oh yes, there's this more than 50-year-old, old-school bakery called Sin Fatt Bakery & Confectionary, too, that you must visit when visiting Batu Arang. Click here for the Full Story!
