I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Pandan Nasi Lemak, a modern kopitiam located on Outram Road that specializes in serving delicious nasi lemak. As the main item on their menu, it's no surprise that the nasi lemak at Cafe Pandan is top-notch.

Nasi Lemak Galangal Set 

S$9.50 

They offer standard sets or the option to choose your own combination, and I decided to try the Nasi Lemak Galangal Set for S$ 9.50 which came with a choice of hot or cold drink. I opted for an iced water chestnut drink to cool off on a hot day.

The rice was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of coconut milk to give it that signature lemak flavour and a pleasant aroma. The sambal, a sweet and spicy chilli paste, was also delicious and complemented the rice well. The peanuts were really crunchy, adding a nice texture to the dish.

While the fried chicken was not the best I've ever had, it was still good and satisfying. Overall, the combination of fluffy rice, tasty sambal, and crunchy peanuts made for a winning nasi lemak dish.

Cafe Pandan Nasi Lemak's atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, with modern touches that elevate the traditional kopitiam experience. It's a great spot to stop by if you're in the area and craving some authentic local flavours.
