At Restoran Penang Corner 槟岛之恋, you get to indulge yourself crazy over guilty pleasures trying out Penang's style authentic Penang White Curry Mee, Char Kuey Teow, Penang Pork Noodles and dessert was the Ice Kacang.

Penang Pork Noodles

Among all the dishes I tried, I liked the Penang Pork Noodles best. Penang version is different from KL-style. The pork bone soup was flavourful, very 'ching' and sweet with the mee hoon soaking in the porky goodness of the soup.

My Pork Noodles comes with mixed pork slices, minced pork patty and firm meatballs too. You'll definitely enjoy the freshness of the pork as they seasoned it with tapioca powder and meat tenderizer to give it extra softness.

Authentic Penang White Curry Mee

Well, as for the Authentic Penang White Curry Mee; this is another must-try dish when dining here. It was delicious in the 'cukup lemak' in a sweet and creamy Santan (Coconut Milk) broth that comes with unique pork blood, fresh cockles, pork ball, brown cuttlefish and Taufoo Pok. 

Penang-style White Curry Mee lets you add your chilli paste to your liking and of course the more the spicier la and also it helps to enhance the flavour of the dish. 

Just try a few spoonfuls of the White Curry Broth without the chillies and then adds it on, mix well to taste a whole new flavour arise from the power chillies paste that heightened the tasting experience!  

Penang Char Kuey Teow

Well, no dining at Penang Corner would be complete without trying their famous Penang Char Kuey Teow, right? Their Char Kuey Teow also quite good too, well cooked with the smooth flat rice noodles with chives, bean sprouts and slightly charred egg!

 

Full Of Wok Hei while best of all, it's not oily at all and comes with a generous portion of Taugeh but I wished they would be a bit generous and don't sting on the Chinese sausage and prawns too.  

Last but not least, try out their Penang Ice Kacang - Nothing fancy but simply a refreshingly cool and sweet dessert to cool off especially after those spicy Curry Mee. 

My hubby, Uncle Hong a great fan of any ABC Ice Kacang he can get hold of, citied that he enjoys the ice shaving which was soft and fine as snow and not ice flakes like in the Indian cendol. The sweetness comes from the fragrant and rich Gula Melaka too!   

I will definitely come back for more, heard that on weekends, they also offered rocking good Penang Prawn Noodles and Asam Laksa! Great place to eat - The Perfect PIT STOP for Penang Hawker Food!
