For my hubby, Uncle Hong and I, it was truly a pleasant weekend indulgence enjoying a delectable selection of their highly recommended signatures dishes, just perfect for a fine Saturday.
I'm no stranger to Vietnamese cuisine as my 2 weeks food-tripping holidays in Hanoi and HCMC (Ho Chi Minh City) last year makes me personally grown to love and enjoy this cuisine and the myriad of fresh herbs, meat and selectively used of spices to reach a fine taste.

So dining at Rasa Viet does bring back lots of wonderful memories I had holidaying and eating out Vietnam's top food and the local pride the Vietnamese have to offer on my foodie adventure in these two cities.
Having said that, my expectation and benchmark for some excellent authentic Vietnamese food from Rasa Viet was quite high too. And I have to say they didn't disappoint me at all!
Bringing the flavours of Vietnam to Rasa Viet is their teams of experienced chefs to have taste buds tickled and your appetite satiated with the best of authentic Muslim-Friendly Vietnamese dishes, known for their distinct fresh flavours & taste - from sweet, salty, sour to spicy.
Be prepared with an explosion a range of flavours from the Northern Region (known for its savoury quality), the Central (famous for its strong flavours) and the Southern Region (known for its slightly sweet flavours and dishes are served with fresh herbs).
Bearing the tagline 'Uniquely Vietnamese' for Rasa Viet, their Muslim-friendly menu offers a wide selection of appetizers - a variety of Spring Rolls, side dishes, and Specials to Pho - Rice Noodles Soup, Dry Vermicelli and assorted Rice dishes to choose from.

Recommended Dishes you must try are:

⭐ Fried Roll
⭐ Summer Roll
⭐ Sizzling Pancakes
⭐ Grilled Chicken Vermicelli
⭐ Grilled Lemongrass Chicken
Let Auntie Lilly feature my highly recommended dishes from the TOP FAVOURITE on my list to eat at Rasa Viet. For starters, we were served with small bites of the two varieties of Spring Rolls namely the Fried Roll and Summer Roll.
Chicken Fried Spring Rolls or Cha Gio (Gà)
RM 13.40 For 2 Rolls
Sinful but delicious, everyone will definitely fall in love with the Chicken Fried Spring Rolls or Cha Gio (Gà). The filling is made from chicken, Taro, black fungus, carrots, Daikon, vermicelli wrapped in rice paper and deep-fried to crisp perfection.
These deep-fried and crispy rolls are best eaten warm with a dipping sauce called Nước chấm made with fish sauce.
Summer Rolls or Gỏi Cuốn Tôm Ga
RM 8.50 For 1 Roll
For a healthier version of these tasty Vietnamese rolls, you can opt for the refreshing Summer Rolls or Gỏi Cuốn Tôm Ga. These are my favourites as I have always enjoyed Vietnamese food as it's one of the healthiest cuisines worldwide.
Tasty bites filled with lots of fresh vegetables such as lettuce, cucumber, bean sprouts, pickled carrots, Daikon and vermicelli together with poached prawns wrapped delicately in the rice paper. Best eaten with peanut sauce.
Auntie Lilly Happy Eats At RASA VIET
I was amazed at the skill of the chef for he somehow was able to stuff lots of filling, tight and compact - wrapped perfectly in the thin rice paper without any of the ingredients falling down.
Sizzling Pancake or Bánh Xèo Tôm Gà
RM 23.90
Moving on to more small bites, Rasa Viet's special feature is the Sizzling Pancake or Bánh Xèo Tôm Gà. A Vietnamese crepe by nature, this is a DIY Wrap meant to be eaten with your hands where you assemble the crepes with fresh mixed herbs and lettuce wrapped in rice paper. You’ll always find a big plate of greens with a mix of herbs to go with it.
Everyone loved this as it's got that irresistible crispy, yet delicate, golden-brown crust while the inside of the bánh xèo is filled with delicious flavours: chicken and prawns, and sprinklings of bean sprouts for the added crunch.
A crowd-pleaser in many ways, it's refreshing and light on the stomach, this a hot-off-the-pan, hands-on food is nothing but the satisfying crunch of these sizzling crepes, wrapped in veggies and dipped in perfectly balanced fish sauce.
Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Skewers or Nem Lụi Gà
RM 11.90 For 4 Skewer
If you're not into spring rolls or crepes, then you can opt for this delightful Grilled Lemongrass Chicken Skewer Nem Lụi Gà.
A popular Vietnamese food in Central Vietnam, it's grilled ground chicken in a lemongrass skewer. The marinade permeates the chicken to make it succulent, distinctive and delicious.
What is Vietnamese cuisine without the Pho? Dining at any Vietnamese restaurant would be incomplete if you have not tried their Pho Noodles. A simple staple food for the Vietnamese, Rasa Viet offers 9 options of Pho served with rice noodles together with a different kind of toppings and soup of your choice.
Smoked Duck Pho
RM 20.40
The chef's recommendation is the Smoked Duck Pho ~ Flavourful rice noodles dish consisting of chicken broth, fresh slurpy rice noodles, a sprinkling of chopped scallions and coriander, fresh herbs and generous slices of Smoked Duck.
Classic Beef Pho
RM 22.80
Beef lovers should go for the Classic Beef Pho, served in a beefy broth with medium-cooked steak slices and beef meatballs.
RM 24.50
If Smoked Duck and Beef is not your cup of tea, then you should check out Rasa Viet's Prawn Pho which is equally delicious. You'll find a generous portion of succulent fresh prawns served in the prawn shells broth cooked for long hours together with herbs and spices infused bringing out its natural flavour.
RM 21.30
Next, if you have stomach for more, the Grilled Chicken Vermicelli or Bún Gà Nướng is one of the popular mouth-watering Vietnamese dishes you ought to try. This Vietnamese Noodles Salad With Lemongrass Chicken is light and full of fresh flavours.
The dish has a stunning balance of saltiness, pungency, sweetness, heat, cold, and sourness. topped with fresh Vietnamese herbs, rice vermicelli, grilled chicken and laced with that mouth-watering dressing Nuoc Cham, the famous dipping sauce that’s served with everything in Vietnam.
Vietnam Coffee
Hot/Cold
RM 9.90
So wrapping up the meal is none other than the Drip Coffee, a drink synonymous with Vietnam cuisine. Again no dining experience is complete in a Vietnamese restaurant if you have not tasted their famous Vietnam Coffee.
Coffee fans can have it either Black or with Milk and hot or cold version.
Honey Lemongrass
RM 8.90
If coffee does not appeal to you, then you can opt for a refreshing and healthy Honey Lemongrass drink. Made from scratch, this drink is boiled with fresh lemongrass for that pretty good to aid digestion, relieve sore throat, body heatiness and many more health benefits.
Caramel Pudding
RM 5.90
Last but not least, if you have stomach for more, sweet tooth lovers can try their Caramel Pudding for dessert for a sweet ending to this satisfying Vietnamese dining experience!
Vietnamese food lovers need not travel far in search of a good Pho, Banh Xeo or Goi Cuon. Now, Auntie Lilly will head down to Rasa Viet to get my cravings fixed for an authentic homemade style of cooking and experience it right here at The Sphere in Bangsar. Will come back for more with my foodie daughter, Carmen a Vietnamese food lover herself!
