Dim Sum Chef Ng Meng Loong from Oriental Chinese Cuisine curated delicious new flavours for the connoisseur to savour his dim sum with a twist, which is the way out of the ordinary. For Chef Ng, dim sum certainly does not have to be boring and uninventive. If you have someone like Chef Ng, you can expect interesting and innovative things on his menu.

Dim Sum Chef Ng Meng Loong from Oriental Chinese Cuisine showcases his creativity through a selection of handcrafted dim sum specialities such as...

Japanese Unagi Cheese Roll Serve With Yogurt Sauce

Japanese Unagi Cheese Roll Serve With Yoghurt Sauce is one of my personal favourites. This is a twist from the usual Peking duck skin wrap with Chef using fresh and crisp lettuce and flavourful seaweed as wraps for the unagi with a dash of flavourful yoghurt sauce that goes well with the rest of the ingredients.

Blue Flower Glutinous Rice with Chicken

Sweet Potato Buns

Red Bean Paste with Coconut Milk Bun

Matcha Buns with Pumpkin Paste

Eggplant Shaped Glutinous Rice Balls with Purple Sweet Potato

Eating these delightful small bites of Eggplant Shaped Glutinous Rice Balls with Purple Sweet Potato reminds of the tiny and cute little sweet yellow potatoes balls I had at Petaling Street a long time ago. It's not oily although deep-fried till crispy on the outside with a soft and creamy on the inside, making very palatable with its natural sweetness coming from the purple sweet potatoes.

Chicken & Prawn Dumpling with Cordyceps Flower & Black Garlic

Here's another winner in the making. I just loved the rich flavour that adds up to this simple creation of another version of "Siew Mai" but enhanced with the healthy minced black garlic that's heightened the tasting experience.

Chicken & Prawn Dumplings With Scallop & Flying Fish Roe

  Australian Scallop & Shrimps Dumplings

Yam Croquettes Filled With Minced Chicken & Sun-Dried Scallop

Chef elevates traditional Yam Croquettes dim sum and tweaks it to include contemporary flavours but fret not, the flavours are by no means strange or conflicting. These addictive mouth-watering Yam Croquettes Filled With Minced Chicken & Sun-Dried Scallop is an excellent example of how traditional favourites was spot-on when it comes to combining premium ingredients such as sun-dried scallop to enhance its flavours.

Crispy Duck Skin Rice Rolls

How does Crispy Duck Skin Rice Rolls sound to you? Sound deliciously sinful right? Well, this is another crowd favourite tasting the pure crispy duck skin tightly wrapped with the steamed rice rolls. Soft and smooth on the outside and bursting with flavourful once you get to the flavoursome duck skin... yummy indeed!

Rice Ball With Lotus Paste

Musang King Pancake

Also for desserts, don't forget the crowd’s favourite, the Musang King Pancake.

If you are looking to try out some new exciting dim sum with a twist or when you hunger pangs kick in - craving for specially crafted delectable premium dainty morsels, the new menu at Oriental Chinese Cuisine would be something you should indulge to satisfy your appetite.

The ala carte dim sum is priced between RM 17 to RM 28 and for premium Bird’s Nest desserts are at RM88 each. The dim sum is available from 12:00noon to 2:30pm daily.
