Hail to all Pork-Lovers! 'Pure Pork Awesomeness' recommended for pork lovers on this latest blog post of mine. Recently, I was invited by Foodilifecious, a like-minded fellow foodie friend to check out MORGANFIELD'S Malaysia newly revamped menu at one of their outlets in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

MORGANFIELD'S Malaysia has slowly been gaining a reputation as the place to go to for some good ol' fashioned barbecued pork ribs, with an extra dose of charming Southern American hospitality! And so the essence of Morganfield's began.
Morganfield's combines life's two greatest passions: music and great soul food. At the heart of Morganfield's is its signature dish –"Sticky Bones" – a truly authentic, old-fashioned, prime pork ribs slow-cooked and smoked in coal and hickory wood to tender mouthwatering perfection, then basted with the gluey sweet-and-sour- tomato based home-made mopping sauce. A perfect accompaniment to good blues music and great friends!
New Menu With 40 New Items
The restaurant chain has revamped its menu, starting with its branch in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, while staying true to its reputation for offering comfort porky-licious food to whet diners appetite. MORGANFIELD'S Malaysia assistant marketing manager ND Chow said that the newly revamped menu caters to wide range of taste profiles.
Look out for the exciting flavours of the fresh additions to the selection of Sticky Bones Spare Ribs, Baby Back Ribs, Mini Platters, Sizzling Steaks & Chops, Poultry, Burgers, Sandwich, Pasta, Appetizers, Salads, Soups, Sides to their twist on some localised flavours, featuring Salted Egg Chicken Wings, Spare Ribs with “Char Siu” sauce and more.

Thursday Crowd At MORGANFIELD'S Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
Although the restaurant is warm and inviting with its interesting red brick and wood decor, what really draws the crowd is its hearty fare.
Comfortable & Spacious Set-Up
During the recent visit, I tasted some of the 40 new additions to the menu. We began with the MORGANFIELD'S range of appetisers ~ Porky Salad, Sticky Wings, Mussel Kilpatrick and Seafood Chowder to work up our appetite before the mains.
Porky Salad
RM 28.90
Looking at the Porky Salad with 2 generous slabs of crunchy, juicy and tender roasted pork belly and pork lard with an equal amount of lean and fats, served together with fresh greens, cucumber sticks, avocado, cherry tomatoes, almond flakes and sesame seeds tossed with spicy soy vinaigrette; it is precisely the perfect combination of a porky-licious salad.
The saltiness of the roasted pork belly was balanced off with the crisp and fresh tasting greens in the salad. At dinner that night, hungry diners went for the roasted pork belly first, leaving behind the greens for the last to eat as we were sharing this. I will be back for more of this dish and no sharing the next time around!
Roasted Pork Belly

Everyone's top pick for the night has to be the Roasted Pork Belly. We dig into the juicy and tender Roasted Pork Belly, scoring a high with everyone at the dinner table. Spot the crunchy pork skin, so sinful yet tempting!
This precious roasted pork belly was crispy, succulent and loaded with flavours. Premium pork belly was rubbed marinated with salt and spices slow roasted to mouth-watering perfection. Served with julienned cucumber, cherry tomatoes and housemade garlic Aioli.
Habanero Wings

Habanero Wings are basically the deep fried chicken wings marinated and tossed in three choices of housemade sauces.
Golden Egg Crunch Sticky Chicken Wings
Velvety golden salted egg stir-fried with fragrant curry leaves
Honey Soy Sticky Chicken Wings
A savoury combination of honey, soy and vinegar, this simple yet delicious dressing topped with the almond slice will definitely appeal to those who enjoy the sweet and savoury flavour.
Fiery Habanero
Great depths of flavours from the sweet peppers and honey. Fiery and not for the faith hearted!
Mussel Kilpatrick

If you're longing for some seafood starters, do try this Mussel Kilpatrick appetiser. This mussels dish features 6 green mussels sauteed with smoked bacon in the sweet and sour tomato sauce and topped with cherry tomatoes.
Seafood Chowder

Seafood enthusiasts should try the Seafood Chowder. It comes loaded with assorted fresh seafood, corn kernels, potatoes, seaweed and carrots stewed in a rich and creamy seasoned broth.

Moving on next, another winner in its own right - Citrus Mojito Baby Back. Oink-oink to all pork ribs lovers out there, these sticky, apple-scented ribs are slowed cooked to perfection in the oven, then finished on the grill covered with chunks of freshly cut diced green apples. lime and mint leaves which gave the extra zest to a heavy dish.
Sizzling Rib Eye
RM 69.90
After all these porky dishes and if you are hankering for something beefy, then the Sizzling Rib Eye is sure to be a crowd-pleaser. Top choice Australian Rib Eye grilled to your favourite doneness and smothered in their housemade mushroom gravy. Served with caramelised onion, red skin mashed potatoes, sliced Eryngii mushrooms, and garden veggies.
Just a thought, I wish they don't douse the perfect steak with gravy but instead serve it separately in a bowl as a dipping sauce instead. I believe much pure beefeater will enjoy the grilled steak soaking in its natural juice.
Smokin Duck Pasta

If you have stomach for more - carbs perhaps, do check out the Smokin Duck Pasta. The al dente spaghetti is tossed with generous amounts of sliced smoked duck breasts, pork lard, sugar peas, chopped onions, tomatoes and garlic.
