Recently, Dolly Dim Sum had their grand opening of their fourth outlet at Sunway Putra Mall in Kuala Lumpur. I was privileged to be invited to this auspicious event together with their VVIP, business associates, friends and members of the media. I'm pretty excited too as it's my first time dining at Dolly Dim Sum since their opening at Avenue K, 2 years ago.

To extend its unique dining experience, Dolly Dim Sum has opened its fourth restaurant at Sunway Putra Mall, Kuala Lumpur, offering a variety of classic dim sum made with quality ingredients, heartfelt service and inviting ambience. With their 1st flagship outlet in Avenue-K, they have come a long way with the opening of three other outlets located mainly in Klang Valley at NU Sentral (2nd outlet), Pavilion (3rd outlet) & Sunway Putra (4th outlet).  

With their fourth outlet in Sunway Putra Mall, diners can escape from the daily hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy their authentic pork-free dim sum in the luscious green setting of Dolly's Garden. They offer an all-day dim sum dining experience for Malaysians so that they can enjoy this yummy delicacy anytime they wish. I was at ease and fell in love with their beautifully decorated little garden concept at their latest outlet in Sunway Putra Mall. 

Whilst at Avenue-K (the flagship outlet), diners can 'Yumcha' in a contemporary setting of an enclosed glass teahouse, the NU Sentral and Pavilion outlets are specially modelled after Dolly's house and kitchen respectively.  

Sweet Dolly

Dolly is a Suzie Wong-like fictional character created with straight black hair and a cheongsam who loves dim sum. Dolly is the central character of Dolly Dim Sum, In each of the restaurants, Dolly can be found in hand-painted wall murals with chopsticks in hand, holding chopsticks in hand, holding up different types of dim sum ready to tuck in.

At Dolly Dim Sum, one can expect to get traditional pork-free favourites such as 'har gao' and 'siew mai' dumplings, roasted BBQ buns, baked mini egg tarts, yam croquette, egg custard buns, steamed rice rolls and pan-fried radish cakes. There is also a good variety of fried rice and noodles including their signature Royal Golden Fried Rice, Crispy Egg Noodles and Wok-fried Beef Kway Teoh.
