Located in Taman Cheras, you can never miss this particularly restaurant which was strategicly located facing the main road. With aBuffet style 'All-You-Can-Eat' concept, this restaurant allows diners to enjoy the sizzling experiences of BBQ and Hot-Pot, with choice of either cooking food in soups or grilling on its unique grill pan.

You will be spoilt for choice as they offered over 100 varieties of food items ranging from meat, seafood, and vegetables to noodles and ready-cooked favourites like meat balls, fish balls, ham and sausages. Even the soup base for the hot pot didn't come in one but instead, in four awesome choices of clear, herbal, pumpkin & the all time favourite - tom yam soup.

I started off with the grilling pan, with the paper-thin slices of meats — beef, mutton, chicken & pork which I found quite tasty. My favourite was the pork slices which tasted succulent and juicy, best eaten right off the grilling pan. Although there are several types of sauces - green chillies, ginger + chillies, brown sauce & many more served as dipping sauce, I prefer to savours the freshly grilled meat on its own. I guess that's the better way to taste the juiciness of the meat itself.

Next, I checked out the Hot Pot with the clear & tom yam soup. Instead of 'throwing' everything into the pot, I did the 'shabu-shabu style' with the beef and lamb as well as pork and chicken slices too. I would recommend this way of cooking especially for beef and lamb, as prolonged cooking with spoil the texture of the meat. I prefer the clear soup rather than the tom yam soup as it didn't have the 'oomph' factor to it. I believe they may have used the commercial tom yam paste instead of cooking it from scratch with fresh herbs/spice.

As for the seafood, prawns were fresh and good to eat either by grilling or in hot pot. But I can't say the same for some of the seafood like crabs, bamboo clams, fish slices, mussels and especially the cockles. My nose 'detected' a strong fishy smell once I slide open the fridge panel which means that the freshness of the seafood have been compromised. To maintain its freshness, seafood should be kept cool and moist at temperature between 0°C and 5°C.

Overall, I would give a rating of 4/10 for this restaurant as everything was so-so only, nothing special. Besides that, I hope more attention and importance be given to maintaining the freshness of the seafood, better quality soup and cleanliness of the place.
